"As I live alone I needed a week's care after total knee replacement and a friend of mine went into the Cedars after breaking a leg after a fall. Another had chosen the Cedars for end of life care as she had pancreatic cancer. Sadly she didn't live long enough to get there. So 2 recommendations. I can't speak highly enough of the wonderful care I had at Cedars. Such kind, dedicated staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I was even taken on a tour of the grounds in my wheelchair! Great choice of menus and I could even have sandwiches in my room for later if I wasn't hungry at dinner time. The quiet night time checking by kind staff. The list of timings of my medications for me to take home. It was also very nice to sit in the sheltered courtyard with tea and cake brought to me and any visitors. I could go on, but the Cedars is a beautiful nursing home in lovely grounds with wonderful, kind, attentive, professional staff. I came home feeling well able to cope on my own."

Cedars Care Home has been wonderful for my Aunt who came in after a hospital stay. She's been looked after so well with kindness and compassion. It has been such a relief for us as a family knowing she has been so well cared for. Thank you Cedars!

"The Cedars cared for my friend for nearly three years, until he died at 87. We visited him regularly and were always impressed with the care he received and the friendly and positive atmosphere. The staff were professional and well-trained . The manager was always accessible and supportive of all of us at all times."

"Our mother moved to The Cedars in January 2026. She has advancing dementia and was quite confused when she arrived. Our mother has been able to rehabilitate since January 2026. She is calm, likes the environment, enjoys the food and sleeps well again. She's put on weight and her whole character is back to the person we used to know. The staff at the Cedars are supportive calm kind and good fun for the residents to be arround. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The environment is clean & tidy. Thank you all for the care to our parent. She is able to live with the dignity & respect she deserves."

"Cedars have been so kind and caring at a time that has been extremely difficult for our family to navigate; our parents needing nursing care at the same time. Cedars guided us to enable our parents to be welcomed into their nursing care. This has been very comforting for us knowing they are safe together and that their different needs are being met. Everyone at Cedars has gone above and beyond to help our family. Highly recommend Cedars."

"Pat is kept clean, tidy & fed and looked after. He is completely bedridden therefore his quality of life is restricted but he seems happy watching TV and reading. I know he is a bit isolated but the carers try to spend time with him, however they are extremely busy and do not have the time. He has a nice view of the car park and grounds from his room and can see what is going on around him I visit once a fortnight again I am restricted on time as I am still working. When I arrive all the staff greet me and make me welcome. For his other sisters to visit it is a 70 mile round trip and again they are busy with their own commitments The home has a lot of activities going on but Pat cannot partake of them however the staff involve him when they can i.e. animal visits For his birthday they arranged a horse the winner of the Scottish Grand National to visit him which was so kind and considerate and he was over the moon about it All in all it is an extremely caring good place to spend the rest of his life. We could not ask for more"

"The Cedars Care Home is in a beautiful grade 2 listed building with modern annex, set in attractive countryside. It has a calm atmosphere and actively welcomes and encourages groups and individuals from the local community to participate in events and activities. Staff always have time for a chat and all seem to know my mother well. Management have an open door policy and the manager is always ready to listen to any problems that arise and address the promptly. We visit the home twice a week and find it a welcoming place where my Mother is safe, well cared for and stimulated."

"My Partners Nan is a resident here at Cedars. The first time I visited her, I was amazed at the home and the vast grounds were beautiful! My mother has been a resident at Cedars Care Home for 6 months, and I cannot praise the team highly enough. From the moment we first visited, we felt such warmth, kindness, and professionalism. The staff go above and beyond to make sure residents are comfortable, happy, and treated with dignity and respect.

The home itself is welcoming, clean, and homely, with a lovely atmosphere. There are always engaging activities for residents, and it’s wonderful to see my mother smiling, socialising, and enjoying her days again. The carers know her as an individual and really take the time to understand her needs and preferences.

As her daughter, it gives me such peace of mind knowing she is in safe hands and being cared for with so much compassion. Cedars has truly become a home, not just a care facility, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone there for the love and support they provide.

My Mum has been a resident at Cedars since 2022. The staff are so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The home is clean and the vast grounds are beautiful. On the number of occasions I have had lunch with Mum, the food has been delicious and well presented! Keep up the good work Cedars!

"A care home in a beautiful tranquil setting, my mum loves sitting in the garden having strawberries & cream with me - wonderful memories this summer. The staff (all of them) are a wonderful community of friendly, helpful & caring people, so very helpful, mums care & stay so far has been 99% brilliant, Im grateful she is here with the Cedars crew! The odd niggle from me over mum wearing wrong clothes! Would want this passed on and recognised as the best."

"My mum moved into Cedars in February and was treated with kindness dignity and respect from the very start. There is such a lovely family atmosphere and a really warm 'buzz' about the home. I was kept informed of my mothers health and was called whenever there was a concern. I would recommend the home to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved on. The staff are just brilliant."

"A caring and friendly, safe environment for my father to get the full time care he needs. Staff are very supportive and extremely personable and have a great rapport with both me and more importantly my father. The food is of an extremely high standard."

"Very disappointed with respite care experience. Not all that was promised. Would not use again or recommend. Food on 1st day - appalling. Care not bad but understaffed. Effort to aid my mothers mobility did not happen. and do something about the bell system constant beeping night and day not restfull."
