Activities at Atfield House Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Fun in the Sun

We try to enjoy the sunshine as much as possible, and Beer Day was a great reason to go out onto the terrace. The drinks and the company were great, and we had a fantastic time!

, ,

World Photo Day

World Photo Day was a lot of fun. Staff members brought in adorable baby photos and our residents took turns guessing who they were and picking the cutest ones!

,

Book Club

Our Book Club has temporarily mood location. We took advantage of the recent sunshine and had our sessions in the garden.

,

Friendship Day

We are excited about Friendship Day! These hand-made accessories will be going to a local nursery and hopefully make some children very happy.

Keeping hobbies going

We know the importance of maintaining independence and encouraging them to keep hobbies alive and enjoying them. James was always an avid gardener and he loves nothing more than pottering around the garden and tending to the tomato and cucumber plants.

Birthday Celebrations

We love a birthday here at Atfield House and we always know how to celebrate in style. Iris was no exception. Balloons, Fizz and a homemade cake were the order of the day. Finished off with a fun quiz for everyone.
