Meet the Arbour Court Care Home Team

Hi, I’m Kath and I have been a nurse for over 18 years. I have worked for Barchester since 2015 and am now the Clinical Lead Nurse and Palliative Care Champion at Arbour Court. I chose to be the Palliative Care Champion so I could support residents, their loved ones and my colleagues through the last days of life. I love my job and take great passion and pride in being able to support all of our residents at Arbour Court.

Hi, I am Costa and I am the Head of Chestnut Unit here at Arbour Court.

I graduated nursing school in 1990 in Romania and worked as a paramedic in my country and gained experience in nursing in Israel.

We offer dementia care here at Arbour Court and I am responsible for supporting staff to ensure that we provide a high standard of care to residents.

Hi, my name is Aimee and I'm the Activities Co-ordinator & Dementia Champion here at Arbour Court. In 2019 I received my Level 3 Health and Social Care and decided I wanted to help and enrich the lives of others. 

I started working at Arbour Court in January 2021 as a Care Assistant and progressed to be a Senior Carer. In October 2023 I moved onto the activities team as an Activities Team Leader. I love my role as one of our homes Activities Co-ordinators and love to find new and exciting ways to engage our residents. 

I am also a Dementia Champion and work closely with our General Manager, Lisa and other Dementia Champions to implement Barchester's Dementia Framework within the home.

Being part of Arbour Court's family is very rewarding and I feel lucky to work in a great environment. 

My name is John and I’m the Maintenance Manager here at Arbour Court.

I have worked for Barchester Healthcare since 2006 and I’m responsible for a variety of tasks, including maintaining a safe environment for residents and ensuring the home meets legislative and statutory health and safety requirements. Part of my job role is to liaise with our local fire service to enable me to deliver effective fire training to staff.

Some of my qualifications include aCity and Guilds 7300, IOSH and an ILM diploma in Leadership and Management.

My name is Samantha, I have worked for Barchester Healthcare since March 2024 as an Admin Assistant. In my previous employment I worked at a Solicitors as a Legal Secretary which I did for many years.

I enjoy having a chat with our visitors and going to chat with the residents throughout the day. In my role I support our Admin and Management Team and greet family, friends and professionals when they visit our wonderful home. Every day is different!

Hi, my name is Corina and I am the Unit Manager on Hollies here at Arbour Court.

I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1991 and then went on to higher education to study Nursing and Psychology, gaining experience working on medical, stroke, brain injuries and complex needs in rehabilitation hospital wards.

I enjoy using my skills and experience in nursing to care for the residents at Arbour Court. I have a passion for delivering an outstanding level of care to the people I support.

I enjoy working closely with my team to ensure that we provide high quality care in a centre of excellence.

My name is Danielle and I am the Administrator at Arbour Court. I originally joined the Arbour Court team in 2011 as a Care Assistant and then progressed to Senior Carer. In 2020 I joined the Admin department as Admin Assistant and I was recently promoted to Administrator. 

I enjoy spending time with residents, joining them for a cup of tea and snack in the café area. I have also taken on the role of Wellbeing Champion for the staff who are welcome to come for a chat anytime and I will offer them any support they may need.

I have worked at Arbour Court since 2009 and started my career as a Kitchen Assistant. I enjoy providing nutritious food for those we support and ensuring that all likes and preferences are catered for. Barchester gave me the opportunity to complete my NVQ in Professional Cookery and I love my Head Chef role.

I have worked at Arbour Court since 2008. I have worked in all departments and have completed my NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care whilst working here. I enjoy making sure all residents are living in a clean, tidy and safe home.
