Activities at Stoneham Grove Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Iuliana Buican

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Iuliana and I'm Activities Lead here at Stoneham Grove.

I worked as a History Teacher for 12 years before joining Barchester in 2017.

I am passionate about my job and I love working with people. I enjoy planning and providing meaningful activities that make a difference in the lives of our residents, counting their hobbies and wishes.

In my free time, I enjoy travelling, dancing, quizzing and playing board games with my  family and friends.

I am looking forward to using my skills and experience to enhance the lives of our wonderful residents.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Starry, Starry Night - Celebrating Vincent Van Gogh's Birthday

We celebrated the art work of Vincent Van Gogh in celebration of his birthday 0n 30th March. We spent the day learning about his life and distinct style of painting.... then the real fun began as our residents tried their hand at recreating some of Van Gogh's famous masterpieces whilst adding their own creative flair. We think they've all produced master pieces of their own!
