Overslade House Care Home in Rugby

Overslade House is a large, purpose built care home home that provides high quality 24-hour nursing care for older people in a warm and friendly environment. Alongside this, we offer specialist dementia care and a focussed approach to end of life care using the Gold Standard Framework. Admissions can normally be arranged within 24 hours following assessment; alternatively, respite care and short-term breaks can be booked up to a year in advance.

The home was refurbished in 2015 and was carefully designed with the people we care for in mind. Our bright reception area is the perfect sport for socialising or taking part in one of our many daily activities. Our beautiful dining room is a wonderful place to enjoy a three-course homemade lunch and our bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated.

For more information about our beautiful home, please feel free to give us a call or, better still, come pay us a visit! We are always happy to discuss how we can best meet your individual needs.

Violeta Baesu

General Manager

I have been working at Overslade House since 2004 and I have found our home to be extremely welcoming and a happy place to live and work in.

I first qualified as a nurse in 1996 along with my husband and practiced for 8 years in a hospital in Romania.  I moved to the UK along with my family in 2004 and started my employment with Barchester Healthcare at Overslade House as a Senior Care Assistant.  I then started my adaptation at Northampton University to allow me to qualify and practice as a nurse in the UK, this I completed in 2007 and I was promoted to RGN at Overslade.  I then progressed to Head of Unit in 2011 shortly followed by promotion to Deputy Manager.

I have now taken up the position of General Manager at Overslade House and warmly embrace the opportunities this position will give me.  At Overslade House we pride ourselves on our excellent care and skills that our staff possesses.  It is my aim to maintain the happy, friendly and caring nature our home offers to our residents.

Rashidat Ajagbe

Head of Unit

I qualified as a General Nurse in 2006 and then as a Psychiatric Nurse in 2009 in Nigeria. I worked in a Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Abeokuta, Nigeria before coming to the UK in 2012 when I then obtained a degree in nursing and healthcare. I completed an Overseas Nurses Programme in Adult Nursing and Mental Health Nursing and I am presently registered as a dual qualified nurse in the UK in 2013 and 2015 respectively. When I was choosing my career path, I decided on a career that I would gladly do for nothing. I have always loved to care for people and make a positive impact in their lives. I chose nursing because it is all about caring. Knowing I have made a positive impact on a residents life is what I love the most about my job, the smiles, the appreciation and the trust mean much more than anything else.

When I am away from work I spend my time with friends and family, exercise and planning the next milestone in my future.
