Jayne Clarke
General Manager
Hi, my name is Jayne and I am the General Manager here at Lindum. Welcome to our website!
I have worked in the social care industry for over 30 years 25 within management; I qualified as a Registered Manager in 2001.
Social care is my vocation I feel at home in the environment, I have a passion to cascade my wealth of knowledge and experiences throughout my team in order to fulfil and enhance quality of life for those people who receive our care.
Thank you for taking the time to look further into what we have to offer to you or your loved one. Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team in the home, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life.
Myself and my team look forward to welcoming you to our home.

Mark Shelton
Customer Relationship Manager
Mark has been a part of the Barchester family since 2014.
Having come into the company as a Care Assistant, later a Senior Carer, he then moved onto Activities, becoming Senior Activities for the North Yorkshire area and now as a Customer Relationship Manager.
Marks passion has always been found in wanting to better the lives our residents and to help them find and enjoy new experiences. taking great pride in supporting our homes and being there for our residents and families.
Within his role Mark supports our home with Community Engagement, building relationships with groups and charities in the area and supporting our wonderful activities teams with their home events.

Anthony Cancio
Registered Nurse
Hi my name is Anthony I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in the Philippines in 2018. I am very happy to say that Barchester supported me with my moved to the UK in June 2022, and provided me with the relevant training and support to get my UK registration PIN so as to work as a registered nurse here at Lindum House.
My role is to support with all nursing needs of those living at the home, I am very dedicated to my job and find it very rewarding. I put my relevant nursing skills into practice throughout my working day.

Roxana Anghel
Unit Team Leader
Hi my name is Roxana I am a Unit Team Leader here at Lindum House. I have worked her at Lindum House since 2020 with a couple of years experience within the UK social care before this. Before moving over here from Romania I completed my Registered Nurse training.
I strive to improve the quality of life for our residents to make their days as full and comfortable as possible. I am proud to pass on my skills and knowledge and lead my team by example. I keep regular contact with families and ensure they are always high priority.
I enjoy every day at Lindum House and I am proud to be part of the team. Barchester is a good company to work for, giving staff the opportunity to develop and further their career. I have been fortunate to have been accepted to undertaking a leadership and management qualification.

Lyn Tuck
Home Administrator
Lyn joined the team at Lindum in May 2024, but she has worked in administration for most of her working career, mainly in education. Her role at Lindum is varied, no two days are the same and there is rarely a quiet moment, but she loves the hustle and bustle and always has a smile for everyone.
Outside of work, she spends time with her family and their crazy Cocker Spaniel. She enjoys reading, jigsaws, board games and, of course, walking with her dog. She also loves to travel and explore other countries.
Lyn has already made a positive impact here at Lindum, so much so, she won employee of the month in October 2024. Congratulations Lyn & welcome to the team.

Matt Carr
Head Chef
Matt has been working at Lindum House since the beginning of 2025 and thoroughly enjoys working with the residents and Lindum team. He has worked in the social care sector for many years and is very passionate about what he does.
Matt's speciality is home baking, and he really enjoys making cakes for the residents' birthdays & special events/activities. Matt's past catering experience started in the education sector, which then led him to become food and beverage manager at a local golf club. He then moved to the social care sector. Currently, still a member of the National Association of Care Catering which, in 2023, they won catering team of the year.
Matt's home life is very busy as he enjoys socialising and regularly walks his dog on the beach every day.
Matt has already made a positive start to Lindum, as we are welcoming 'meet the chef' back next month, at the residents' request.

Sarah Burges
Head Housekeeper
Hi my name is Sarah I am Head Housekeeper at Lindum House, I have worked since 1995 and i am proud to be the homes Head of Housekeeping.
I love my job and working in the care sector, it is all I have down and would not want to leave it. I enjoy working for Barchester, they are a well-run company with lots of benefits I feel empowered in my role and very supported as part of a team.

Joel Schofield
Senior Carer
Hi, I'm Joel. I have worked in elderly care since 2015, I have worked in Guildford, Reading, Manchester and now Lindum House.
Before working in elderly care I worked in brain injury, mental health and as a behaviour expert with disabled children with challenging behaviours.
I have previously suffered from a brain tumour myself and had to spend a year in hospital so I can empathise with our residents and understand how hard it is, sometimes, to need and receive care.

Rosemary Hughes
Care Assistant
Rosemary has been a part of the Lindum House family and Barchester since 2022 and supports the home as one of our bank Care Assistants.
She speaks with such passion about the diversity of the role, how no day is ever the same and how Lindum House has such a wonderful team dynamic.
Rosemary is devoted to changing perceptions of what it means to care for others and the benefits from bettering the lives of our residents.
Away from the home Rosemary is a huge fan of northern soul, the theatre, ballet and eating out.

Stephanie Faulkner
Activities Assistant
Hi my name is Stephanie and I am proud to be an activity assistant here at Lindum House, I have been in post since October 2022. I am no stranger to Lindum House having worked here previously for 5 years or, the role of an activities assistant with over 15 years’ experience.
As the homes activity assistant I feel it most important to know the residents, their likes and dislikes this ensures that person centred program of events and activities can be planned and facilitated.
Here at Lindum House we are fortunate to have our minibus so that we can have regular outings to local attractions and sometimes further afield – we are always open to suggestions for our excursions.
I get great job satisfaction when I see the resident’s smiling, laughing and generally enjoying the activity I am facilitating – seeing the residents smile and being happy is very rewarding!

Kerry Adcock
Housekeeper
Kerry joined Lindum House in early 2025 and quickly became a much thought of member of the team.
Having worked previously in the NHS, she speaks about how much she loves being a part of the home, the family dynamic which exists between the residents and the team.
Away from the home, Kerry loves to swim, going on walks with her husband and spending time with her family.

Mike Brown
Clinical Development Nurse
Hi, my name is Mike, and I am the Clinical Development Nurse supporting our Yorkshire homes. I started my career in care supporting people in the community and then attended Sheffield Hallam University where I completed my Nursing Degree.
Since qualifying, I have been a Nurse, Charge Nurse, Deputy Manager, Home Manager and then a Complex Care Nurse in the community before joining Barchester. Barchester shares my ideals of providing excellent care, and this provides the impetus to use my acquired skills and knowledge to support this.

Danielle Salt
Registered Nurse
Hi, I'm Danielle, and I’m a Nurse here at Lindum House. I joined the team here at Lindum in 2022, previously working as a community nurse.
Outside of work, I have a busy family life with my husband and 3 teenage daughters and 2 doggies. We have been renovating our house for the last 2 years, and we love to travel and see the world in our spare time. We’re ticking off our bucket list of countries!
I am very passionate about my career as a nurse. My aim is to emphasise the comfort and quality of life for our residents and to provide emotional support to them and their families. I am very dedicated to my job and find it rewarding. I put my nursing skills into practice throughout my working day. We work as a team, giving that 'whole home' approach to the care of our residents.

Katie Ross
Administration Assistant
Katie joined the team as an admin assistant in October 2024 and has dived straight into the role, greeting residents and their families with a big smile on her face.
When Katie is not at work, she is a devoted mum to her beautiful son Freddie. They have season tickets to Hull City and love to watch football together. Katie has an elderly cat called Barry and enjoys swimming.
Katie is very social and, as such, enjoys catching up with her friends over a nice glass of wine!

Kelly Rolph
Activities Co-ordinator
Hi there, I'm Kelly. My role at Lindum House ensures all of our residents always have lots of fun activities to look forward too.
I've worked in health and social care for around 15 years, I started on care, worked through domestic, kitchen assistant and found my calling with activities!
I'm a strong believer in 'treat people how you wish to be treated' everyone is different and it's important to focus on each individuals wants and needs, to encourage and nurture life, you only live once!
Our residents smiles are my reward, it makes me so happy to see them enjoying them selves.

Bob Dennis
Head of Maintenance
Hi my name is Bob I am Head of Maintenance here at Lindum House. I joined the team here at Lindum in October 2022 but have worked for Barchester for over 13 years in total.
Maintenance is paramount when it comes to Lindum House and the people who live, work and visit here. I take my role very seriously and enjoy keeping the home environment at a high standard, ultimately creating a safe and warm place for people to live in and my colleagues to work in.
I take great pride in my work and feel a sense of achievement when I have refurbished an area.

Ann is proud to be the Resident Ambassador at Lindum House and takes great joy in being there for her fellow residents and their loved ones.
She lives with her husband at the home and is always delighted to meet and greet visitors to Lindum House.

Care Assistant
Wendy joined our wonderful team of care assistants at the home in 2021.
She speaks warmly about how much she enjoys getting to know our residents, listening to their stories, experiences and how she has a wish to help others.
Away from the home Wendy loves to spend time making memories with her grandson and going for walks with her partner Andy and Bella their golden Labrador.

Lynda Hawthorne
Housekeeper
Lynda has been a much valued member of the Lindum House family since 2021 and makes up part of the team of wonderful housekeepers within the home.
She speaks warmly about how much she enjoys being there for the residents and it's the greatest feeling caring for others. Lynda says that Lindum House is the first care home she's ever worked in and never wishes to work anywhere else.
Away from the home Lynda enjoys seeing her friends and socialising or taking her wonderful golden retriever, Rocco for walks.

Jacqui Kipling
Hair & Beauty Therapist
Hi my name is Jacqui and I am proud to be the Hair & Beauty Therapist here at Lindum House, I have been in post since May 2004. I am no stranger to Lindum House having worked here for 20 years.
As the homes Hairdresser & Manicurist, I feel a sense of achievement every single week, knowing that my residents look and feel so much better after their visit to myself.
Here at Lindum House, we are fortunate to have our little salon, which the residents relax and socialize in, it really is quite the little social hub! I feel that social activities at any stage of life is important to a person’s wellbeing both physically & mentally.
In my spare time I enjoy swimming & Paddleboarding, I just love the water; I also have a house rabbit called ‘Billy Bear’, whom I may bring in to visit the residents occasionally.
Its my absolute pleasure to visit Lindum House weekly and make our residents feel Fabulous; Not to mention getting them ready for Lindum’s party’s and monthly social events.
