Fiona Brewin

General Manager

Hi, my name is Fiona, and I am the General Manager here at Hollyfields I hope you find what you're looking for on our website.

I qualified as an registered nurse in 2002, having studied at Wolverhampton University's School of Nursing. Before my career at Barchester, I started out in the field of plastic surgery before moving into the community. I have worked in the community within Wyre Forest since 2005, progressing from a staff nurse to district nurse to an advanced nurse practitioner.

I am committed to the delivery of quality holistic care and the promotion of individualised care by my team, and endeavor to create happiness amongst residents and reassurance for relatives. I thrive to place residence at the forefront of their care during this privileged time in their life journey.  

Andrew Ratcliffe

Deputy Manager

I have been a qualified nurse since 2005. Prior to this, I was a prison officer for 18 years and, before, that I was an infantry soldier.

I have been Deputy Manager at Hollyfields since January 2020, and was a Unit Leader in my previous role, so stepping up for me was my next passion.

I am the Home Administrator here at Hollyfields and I have worked for Barchester since March 2009. I work with two assistants who are extremely helpful and, between us, we deal with every aspect of administration for both residents and staff. In addition, all residents and company accounts form part of my job role. I find my job very fulfilling and rewarding.

Michael Butler

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Michael Butler and I am the Activities Coordinator at Hollyfields. I joined the team back in July 2007 and have held this position since then.

During my time at the home, I have become NAPA-qualified, been a finalist for Activities Coordinator of the Year twice in the Barchester Care Awards and reached the finals at the Great British Care Awards (West Midlands) in 2014 and 2017. In 2015, I won the award for Barchester's Charitable Foundation Champion and was also previously a trustee. I have also written an article for Barchester's blog, titled, 'A day in the life of an activities coordinator at Barchester', which you can read by clicking here.

My role as Activities Coordinator involves providing those we support with a meaningful and bespoke activities programme and to help improve their well-being, promoting independence on a daily basis. My role also involves engaging residents with their local community, either through community groups attending the home or through residents enjoying trips out.

Our activities programmes are based on residents' interests and include occupational therapy, sensory stimulation, cognitive activities, arts and crafts, food-based activities and outdoor community events.

I am a learning disability nurse with lots of experience in mental health and distress reaction in the private sectors and NHS. I qualified in 1993 and I'm still enthusiastic & energetic all these years on. I work part time at Hollyfields and hope to promote good practices in a homely environment for your loved ones.

Sarah Finch

Sarah Finch

Head Chef

My name is Sarah Finch and I am the Head Chef here at Hollyfields. I started my career with Barchester as a Care Assistant and worked my way up to Head Chef eventually. I have my NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery.

I cater to the needs of residents, adhering to all dietary requirements, and compile nutritious menus based on their likes and dislikes.

I have a good team that work alongside me, including my Second Chef, and a team of trained Kitchen Assistants who have helped maintain the highest score (5) for our food hygiene inspections over the past few years.

Brian Jordan

Head of Maintenance

I joined the team in February 2020. I am responsible for overseeing all installation works, repairs and the general upkeep of the property. I have over 10 years of maintenance experience along with 6 years as a HCA at QEHB and At Mary's Hospice. Care has been my passion for many years!

Samantha Louise Hyde

Head of Housekeeping

Sam joined the team at Hollyfields and Ivy House Care Home in 2020 and has become a valued member of the team.

Sam manages her department of housekeepers to ensure that our residents homes are kept both clean and tidy.

Sam engages well with both staff and residents. Those living at the home often join Sam on her cleaning duties around the home maintaining individual life skills and increased wellbeing for all.
