Hi, my name is Sharon, and I am the General Manager here at Hollyfields. I hope you find what you're looking for on our website.
I Joined Barchester Healthcare in January 2015 as a head of unit, and became a General Manager in January 2016. I have undertaken my Registered General Nurse training and qualified in 1994.
I completed my level 5 Health & Social Care Management in 2020. The majority of my nursing career has been spent in the community, supporting individuals with complex care needs and management of a diverse team of care workers and nurses.
I am very passionate about care delivery and strive to deliver the highest standard of care to all our residents.
My role here at Hollyfields is to ensure that the residents that we support and treated with individuality, dignity & respect whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable and homely environment.
I joined the team in January 2020. I have many years of care experience and have achieved my NVQ level 2 & 3 in Health & Social Care and my level 5 in Management. I have also worked as a deputy manager in a previous care home. I have a passion for delivering person-centred care and ensuring all of our residents needs are met with dignity and respect.
I started Barchester back in 2004 as a care assistant, working my way up to a senior care assistant. After a while, I took on the home trainer role and completed my teaching qualification and assessors award (A1) and dementia specialist training. Then I got promoted to a Team leader. I have also carried out the duties as an admin assistant within in my time at Barchester.
My role as Unit Lead is to oversee all that is going on at Ivy House, from clinical governance, audits, ordering, mentoring staff, supervisions, appraisals, rotas, managing staff, documentation and lots more.
I love my job and I am very passionate when it comes to care and looking after people. I am very committed to the delivery of high standards of care to our residents.
I am the Home Administrator here at Hollyfields and I have worked for Barchester since March 2009. I work with two assistants who are extremely helpful and, between us, we deal with every aspect of administration for both residents and staff. In addition, all residents and company accounts form part of my job role. I find my job very fulfilling and rewarding.
Hi, my name is Desmond, and I am an Advanced Care Practitioner here at Hollyfields.
I started working for Barchester Healthcare back in 2003 as an RGN. I am dedicated to working alongside my colleagues to provide a person-centred care approach to individuals with nursing dementia needs.
My name is Sarah Finch and I am the Head Chef here at Hollyfields. I started my career with Barchester as a Care Assistant and worked my way up to Head Chef eventually. I have my NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery.
I cater to the needs of residents, adhering to all dietary requirements, and compile nutritious menus based on their likes and dislikes.
I have a good team that work alongside me, including my Second Chef, and a team of trained Kitchen Assistants who have helped maintain the highest score (5) for our food hygiene inspections over the past few years.
Samantha Louise Hyde
Sam joined the team at Hollyfields and Ivy House Care Home in 2020 and has become a valued member of the team.
Sam manages her department of housekeepers to ensure that our residents homes are kept both clean and tidy.
Sam engages well with both staff and residents. Those living at the home often join Sam on her cleaning duties around the home maintaining individual life skills and increased wellbeing for all.
