Activities at Hilton Park Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Jenelyn Szabo

Activity Coordinator

Hello, my name is Jenelyn and I am the head of activities here at Hilton Park.

Having started my Barchester journey as a carer back in 2019, I have gained good experience of working closely with our residents. After being a carer I then moved onto the Activities team and thoroughly enjoyed working as an Activities co-ordinator, which led to my promotion to Activity Lead.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smiles on our residents faces.

Bletchley Park!

Thank you Bletchley Park!

After a challenging journey, we arrived at our destination to support our Hilton Park resident Dorothy to revisit her code-breaking days at Bletchley. We have delighted over the past few years of stories about her former work and wanted to make her wish come true, to step back in time.

Even at the age of 103, Dorothy clearly recognised some aspects of life here, namely the wording on the secrecy posters.

Banjo Man!!

In the afternoon, we had a surprise visit from The Banjo Man! So instead of Bingo, we had The Banjo. Then we sang a birthday song for our lovely hostess, Monika, who celebrated her birthday today and shared some cake, cup cakes and champagne for everyone to enjoy! Thanks to Amy and Sean 'The Banjo Man' for bringing smiles to everyone's faces today!

Livvy Lou Crafts!

We would like to say a big thank you to Livvy Lou Crafts who kindly gifted the home with some handmade soft creations. We have enjoyed sharing these lovely donations around the home

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year from all our residents and staff at Hilton Park!

Our karaoke party today was exciting as ever – alongside cheese, wine and antipasti, we had singing, dancing and celebration to both modern and classic hits all together.

We stood up, sat down, and even did the Hokey Cokey and turned around to properly start off 2023! Thank you to everyone who joined us.

Bottisham Choir

What a delight it was for us to experience this excellent recital of our favorite hymns today. Sue Giles, Parish Vicar was accompanied by Bottisham Choir and many residents for a professional but informal 'Songs of Praise' in preparation for tomorrow's celebrations

Polar Express arrives at Hilton Park!!

Residents were amazed with the method of present deliveries this year accompanied by the original music track of the film.  Care staff and Activity staff worked together to provide everyone with individual gifts from Santa's list, by the way everyone was on his good list!
A huge thank you to Sophia, a past activity coordinator who joined us today and Amy, our little elf who performed a short dance together with activity team for our lovely residents.
