Hi, my name is Sonia and I am the General Manager here at Forest Care Centre. I hope you find everything you're looking for on our website.
As the Manager, it is my goal is to ensure that we provide a high standard of care that reflects each individual's needs in a safe and homely environment and that every resident and their loved ones are treated with respect.
I have a number of years' experience working in healthcare as a registered nurse in specialist dementia homes and general nursing and in management positions. I look forward to leading the team in taking the home forward.
Hi, my name is Claire, and I started working at Forest Care Home in October 2018 as the Administrator. I have worked in the care sector for over 10 years, and every day has a different challenge; there is never a dull moment working here. I am always willing to help with any situation that arises and my door is open to everyone, so come and say hello.
Hi, my name is Sue and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Forest Care Home. I have worked here since 2016, starting as a Senior Carer and then taking on the role of Activities Coordinator. My aim is to create meaningful activities and events that are person-centered, with the aim of stimulating residents both physically and mentally.
I'm Lesley the Head Chef and head of the hospitality here at Forest Care.
I have recently joined the team and am enjoying providing high quality food for our residents and making sure we are catering to our all their hospitality needs.
I have worked for Barchester since 2013, starting off as a Carer before moving into the maintenance department – and I am now Head of Maintenance. There is never a dull moment working for Forest Care Home, and there's always plenty of work to do. The staff and residents are like one big family and I get great job satisfaction in repairing, fixing or creating a lovely living environment for those we support.
Hi, my name is Kerry, and I have worked as a Housekeeper, Laundry Supervisor and, presently, I am the Head Housekeeper. During my time at Forest Care Home, I have gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience.
I have six members of staff on my team, and we all ensure that our areas of the home are kept to a high standard of cleanliness, so that residents can live in a safe and beautiful environment. We have all built a good relationship with residents and their families, allowing us to feel that we are all part of an even bigger family.
I have worked in Forest Care Home since 2015, and I absolutely love my job! Many residents are living with dementia, and this brings us challenges on a daily basis. I look forward to going to work as it's both rewarding and satisfying. I like to go home at the end of my shift knowing that I have looked after them to the best of my ability.
Hi, my name is Paula, and I started working for Barchester in August 2014. Every day is completely different here at Forest Care Home, and it is a job that I love. I make sure that the residents' needs are met and always encourage independence and person-centered care.
I joined Forest Care Home as a volunteer in September 2018. I am so pleased to be giving some of my spare time to the staff residents. I am available to drive our minibus to enable residents to join in with community activities and take regular trips out of the home. I understand the needs for meaningful activities and engaging communication.
