Activities at Cherry Trees Care Home

Our activities team are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual social events for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest, including the local theatre, as well as visits from Pat dogs, musicians and entertainers. We also host bingo, quiz and knitter natter afternoons that we encourage relatives and the local community to attend. Our Gentleman's Club is also open to non-residents every Thursday afternoon from 2:30pm, join us for a tipple of your choice, we have plenty of snacks and chats. For the ladies, our beauty salon provides; hairdressing and nail pampering, you too can enjoy a drink and some well-deserved 'me' time. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Cherry Trees is fun and active.

National Shortbread Day

Cherry Trees celebrated National Shortbread Day by baking some delicious shortbread which we later decorated with icing and sprinkles. We spend the morning baking and were able to have a lovely tea party with our decorated biscuits, which were delicious.

We had a fantastic time, tasted way too many biscuits and cannot wait to bake many more treats.

Barry's Back At Cherry Trees

Here at Cherry Trees we had a fantastic start to the New Year with the amazing Barry Jukes, who came to the home to do a fantastic musical performance featuring all the hits from 50s to 70s. He sang all the old favourites and got us all grooving in our seats and singing along.

Everyone had such a wonderful time and Barry has stolen a few hearts whilst he was here. Thank you Barry Jukes for an amazing afternoon and we look forward to seeing you throughout 2022.

Christmas Magic with Steve Carmel

Here at Cherry Trees we know how to get ready for Christmas in style. We’ve been busy getting ready by decking the halls and rocking around the Christmas Trees as we spent the last two days making the home look festive and finished today with a fantastic performance by Steve Carmel!!

Everyone had such a fun time singing along to some of our favourites and having a little boogie!!

Lollipop Pony Parties

We had some very special visitors to Cherry Trees this December. Lollipop Pony Parties visited us with their two adorable Christmas puddings, Moomin (Grey) and Lollipop (Black). They spent the morning visiting everyone in their bedrooms and giving them a Christmas kiss and cuddle.

Everyone enjoyed meeting them so much and lollipop nearly got adopted by the nurses!!
