Activities at Chater Lodge Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.
Maria Durrant
Hello. I am Maria and I have lived in Ketton for most of my life. I worked at the local primary school before joining Chater Lodge in 2019. My first role here was as a Dining Host and have now found my passion in creating an interesting and inclusive programme of activities for all our residents. I like having fun with residents, dressing up, singing songs and celebrating special events. I love being a part of the team here and my career change to Activities Coordinator is the best thing I have ever done.

Life at Chater Lodge Care Home
Qigong for body and soul
Residents and family members enjoyed an online Qigong session on Chater Lodge's large screen to keep the mind calm and the body flexible.
Happy Birthday Brian
A lovely celebration for Brian with cake and friends at Chater Lodge.
Father's Day fun and delicious dining
Residents welcomed lots of family members for visits on Father's Day. And the aromas at Chater Lodge sent taste buds wild. Our talented kitchen team, alongside Nina, our Head Chef, created a wonderful menu for all our residents, especially our dads. Eggs Benedict for breakfast, and traditional roast beef and Yorkshire pudding for dinner, topped off with homemade profiteroles. Scrummy!
Catching up with the news
