Activities at Castle Care Village - Castle Keep

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Castle Care Village - Castle Keep

Care Awards Celebration

Team members and residents celebrated Barchester's Care Awards recently. Kerry, a carer at the home, received a Divisional Award and a special certificate. It was a wonderful day, enjoyed by all.

At the Marina

We took a resident out to the local Hull Marina for some breakfast and a nice walk looking at the Spurn Lightship, which is docked in Marina.

Smoothie Day

Residents celebrated World Smoothie Day by taking part in making homemade smoothies out of of kiwis, apples, bananas, strawberries and melons!

Beside the Seaside

The activities team took a resident for an afternoon at Hornsea seaside and, upon closer inspectionm managed to witness a sea rescue. The resident was mesmerised by watching this take place.

Baking Cakes

Residents assisted with the activities team by making Rice Krispie buns to enjoy with a cup of hot Yorkshire tea!

Painting Leaves

Our residents joined in a meaningful activity collecting leaves from the garden that have recently dropped and painting them and making decorative pictures to remind them of autumn.
