Hi, my name is Michelle, and I am the general manager here at Bryn Ivor Lodge. Welcome to our website!

I commenced my career in care as a care assistant and progressed to do my training as a psychiatric nurse in 1998 at Bristol University. I have worked in the private sector for over 10 years in the positions of general manager and quality assurance manager.

Deputy Manager

Hi, my name is Nicola Thomas and I am the deputy manager here at Bryn Ivor Lodge. Welcome to our website!

I have worked for Barchester since 2009 across three different homes. I have been a deputy manager since January 2016 and transferred to Bryn Ivor Lodge in December 2017, after relocating to Cardiff.

I am passionate about my job and I am an advocate for promoting person-centred care for all the individuals we support. I offer support and guidance to the whole team at Bryn Ivor Lodge, with the aim of providing a happy, welcoming workplace.

I am responsible for ensuring that a high standard of care is maintained and delivered to all residents whilst respecting privacy, dignity and, above all else, choice.

I have worked in the care sector for over a decade, progressing from a care assistant to senior carer, and was promoted to residential head of unit in 2019. I am passionate about delivering person-centred care and assist in ensuring our residents have a good quality of life.

I have worked in the care sector for many years, working with various people who are on different stages of their dementia journey. I am passionate about giving my resident the best care possible. I have been working for Barchester since 2015 as a senior carer, and was promoted to head of unit in 2019.

Hi, my name is Liliana and I am the Unit Nurse Manager here at Bryn Ivor Lodge.

I have a degree in Nursing and a masters in Management of Health, a vast experience and knowledge of the care sector and a real passion for delivering high quality care.

I offer guidance to my team of nurses, care practitioners, senior carers and carers to ensure the health, safety and well-being of those we support by providing high standards of care whilst respecting dignity, privacy and wishes in a warm and friendly environment.

My team and I will ensure that each resident and their loved ones are satisfied with our services at Bryn Ivor Lodge.

Hello, my name is Eva Hujber and I am the Administrator at the Bryn Ivor Lodge. I joined the team at the end of the April 2018. I am responsible for the financial administration within the home. I am looking forward to delivering accurate and organised work with excellent customer service.

I joined the team at Bryn Ivor Lodge in April 2015 and have seen the beautiful home through every stage of development. I started as the Home Services Advisor and I am now an Activities Coordinator. I have built good relationships with residents, loved ones and other staff members and continue to develop my skills in this role. Being able to keep residents happy and engaged in activities is a very rewarding experience for me.

My name is Nathan Philpott and I have come on board as Head Chef here at Bryn Ivor Lodge. I have worked in the catering industry for over 15 years in all sectors, from restaurants and hotels to Michelin star establishments. I am extremely passionate about providing high quality, nutritional home-cooked food for those we support. I am responsible for all aspects of the kitchen, meeting all dietary requirements and ensuring that residents are happy with what they eat.

Activities Coordinator

Welcome to Bryn Ivor Lodge Care Home, my name is Sharon Young and I am the activities co-ordinator here at the home.

I have worked in the care sector for nearly 30 years, progressing from being a Senior Care Assistant to my current position. I am able to develop excellent relationships with residents and their families, providing support and I always go that extra mile! I am very passionate about the quality of activities which are provided to residents, and will work closely with the staff team to ensure these activities are appropriate and resident focussed. I will work hard to support the rest of our team to provide the highest quality of care possible. I am very family orientated person and enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren.
