Awel-Y-Mor Care Home in Swansea

Awel-Y-Mor Care Home is situated in Swansea, Wales. We welcome young, physically disabled adults with complex disabilities following traumatic or acquired brain injury, spinal injury or degenerative disease. We also provide care for up to three clients with learning disabilities, 15 elderly frail clients and we have the facilities to care for bariatric clients.

We have strong links with the local GP service and clinical specialists whilst our clients are supported by a full time experienced physiotherapist based at Awel–Y-Mor.

We work hard to enable all clients to enjoy individual choices and lifestyle preferences and have an excellent activities programme as well as an award winning sensory/laughter therapist.

Awel-Y-Mor provides high quality person-centred care for younger adults with complex needs, such acquired brain injury, Huntingtons', multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease. General Manager

Hi, I'm Lynda, the General Manager here at Awel-Y-Mor, and I would like to welcome you to our home.

I started at Awel-Y-Mor in January 2013 and became General Manager in October 2015. I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring all staff provide excellent care to residents, and promoting a happy and friendly atmosphere in which family and friends can feel welcome and know their loved one is cared for and supported.
