Thank you for looking after my Nan (Margaret S), staff were amazing. Memory Lane has a beautiful , caring, and peaceful environment and a special thank you to Janet, Hannah and all the staff plus Manager Sonya and Sharon, for supporting my family through this time of sadness. The home is very clean and well maintained. Special memories sitting in the peaceful garden, refreshments and peace of mind know my nan is in safe hands. I watched your passion and dedication through out my Nans stay over the last month you did all you could for my Nan. sadley my nan passed away Thursday, age 93 and we couldn’t thank the staff enough for making her last few days peaceful. Thank you so very much to all the staff at Glenroyd. You took such great care of my brother Tommy over the past 4 months of his life. For which I will be eternally grateful.
He was so very happy there and loved you all.
Your home, Im sure, must be one of the best in Blackpool it has a real home from home atmosphere. Tommy certainly felt at home there
Loving the full english breakfasts and the sing alongs.
You made his last days as happy as they could be and your care of him was exemplarary. Thank you from me and all of Tommys family it was such a comfort to know he was being left in such caring hands.
I have no hesitation in recommending your home as being one of the best if not the best care home in the area.

Sonia has been fantastic!
She has been very understanding about my Nana's needs and requirements when being discharged from hospital. The staff at Gelnroyd were all very friendly and couldn't do enough for my Nana to make her feel welcome and comfortable. The staff went through and explained fully the induction process, funding, and discharge to ensure we understood what/how things happened & at what times.
I would highly recommend the Genroyd Nursing home to others.

My mum moved into Glenroyd two years ago. Finding a residential setting that we as a family were happy with was a gargantuan task. Mum’s dementia meant remaining at home just wasn’t possible any more. It’s hard to believe that by the time mum died the team at Glenroyd had become like an extension to our family. Glenroyd is blessed with a plethora of dedicated, genuine and empathetic staff. But special mention must go to Jean on the third floor who became a friend to mum. And to the rest of our family. To Damian who brought and shared books of poetry with mum as it remained a passion of hers. To Bev for her wonderful good humour. And to Agga whose tireless energy and kindness improves the lives of all the residents of Glenroyd. What an asset. Thanks to all at Glenroyd who supported us as a family and improved the quality of mum’s life in ways we would not have thought possible.

"I visit my father at Glenroyd atleast five times a week. The staff are all friendly, hard working,helpful and caring. The home is clean and the garden is fabulous.The food menu is well thought out, food is varied and tasty. The many events ensure the residents are stimulated and happy, a huge amount of effort and thought is put into the parties, seasonal activities and exercise classes. The residents have a lot of fun and it's a joy to witness.Staff build good relationships with the residents and visiting family members. This ensures family can raise matters appropriately and with confidence. My father's room is comfortable and clean, furniture items (book case, coat hooks, photo frames etc) have been added since he moved in and reflect that the staff recognise his needs, likes and character. I strongly recommend Glenroyd and feel fortunate that my father is a resident."

"My brother has been in Glenroyd nursing home, Blackpool since July 2019. He is disabled after a massive stroke in 2015 and he cannot speak. He has had the best of care and affection from all staff. He has been treated with love and consideration re. his disability. All patients are included, where possible in all activities within the home. The activities and thought put in to all occasions is excellent. Recommended on all levels."

"I honestly, hand on heart, can not praise this care home enough. My mum has only been a resident here for five weeks (previous care home two years), and she has literally come on leaps and bounds in such a short time. My mum is on the top floor of the building, and the manager, nurses, carers and even the cleaners, are all so, so very attentive, happy, helpful, and have the patience of saints; it really is a wonder they don't fall over themselves, trying to please. There is no comparison to our previous experience. It's so well managed. These people deserve medals, literally."

"My mum moved into this care home in March 2023 with early signs of dementia, confusion, depression and no longer able to live independently. Mum is now content, well cared for and safe. The staff are caring, pleasant and have encouraged Mum to mix with other residents which have improved her quality of life and provided relief for her family."

"My dearest and oldest friend has been a resident at Barchester Glenroyd for a while now and since she’s been there I have seen such a big change in her. She is finally getting the care that she needs. She is on the memory lane unit after being on the nursing floor and I cannot thank the staff any more than I already do. The care they provide is five stars! Everyone goes above and beyond. Her room is always spotless and the unit is always clean and tidy, which is down to the domestic team. The wide range of activities that are available daily for the residents are brilliant and keep the residents stimulated and motivated which is what they need. There is always a celebration at Glenroyd and the activity team always make sure that everyone is welcome to whatever the celebration may be. The chef and kitchen team do a great job with the cafe area and always have the most delicious cakes on offer! I cannot thank Glenroyd enough, knowing that my beloved friend is safe and looked after makes me feel happy!"

"My mum has been in Glenroyd since October and we are very happy with the care she has received. The staff are patient and kind and very professional. Staff are also very supportive of the family of residents, always asking how we are and giving us reassurance. We would recommend Glenroyd to anybody looking for exceptional dementia care for their relative."

"My mum has been a resident at the Glenroyd for almost two years, she came from her own home via hospital during the pandemic. The transition was not an easy one due to the restrictions at the time. The staff at the Glenroyd have always been caring and kind to both my mother and my family. They always have a smile and time to chat with both residents and visitors, under what sometimes must be difficult and stressful situations. As soon as restrictions were ended, the activities team got to work. There is always an activity going on and although my mum can’t always join in she is always included. Her weekly visit to the hairdresser is a highlight for her. The rooms are spacious and light and always clean and tidy. My mothers changing needs have always been observed and assessed and actions are taken when required, all with full consultation with myself and my sister. It’s such a comfort to know that my mother is safe and well cared for at the Glenroyd."

"My dad has been a resident at Glenroyd for the last 6 months and is very settled and comfortable. He had tried a few other homes previously for periods of respite but was never happy, so it is a great comfort for the family that he has finally found somewhere that he likes. The small units give it a homely feel, but he also has access to the activities going on in the wider home. The staff are all amazing, and there seems to be a culture of treating the residents with dignity and kindness. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they all have time to respond to my dad's needs and ease any worries that he might have. I would like to pick out two members of staff in particular, who are both brilliant with my dad and make a real effort to treat him with respect and to understand his individual personality, I would highly recommend the home to anyone looking for the right place for their loved one."

"I have been a resident at Glenroyd since the summer time last year, I live on the memory lane unit. I’ve been very happy here, I love my room, I love all the ladies that work here and of course the gents. A few members of staff, in particular, have been really supportive, especially the regular male night carer. If I could name individuals I would love to mention them all. I feel really safe here at Glenroyd, I feel all the staff are approachable and always have a smile on their faces. Although I’m not into a lot of activities I do get invited and informed about all the activities going on within the home. I have a beautiful garden view and overall I couldn’t be more happier with my little room here at Glenroyd. Although I’m not a big eater I really enjoy the meals here at Glenroyd. Overall I feel like Glenroyd is one big family and I’ve always felt at home here."

"My Mum stayed at Glenroyd Care Home for a week's respite to give myself and my husband a little break. Mum has Alzheimer's/Dementia. She was very well cared for and seemed very happy. Family visitors kept me informed as they visited daily, also I was able to video call her. Staff are very friendly and always getting residents involved with various activities. Mum even had all her nails painted pink. She was over the moon. Can't fault a thing. Spotless lovely rooms. I highly recommend Barchester Glenroyd and will definitely book Mum in again for our next little break. 5 Stars."

"My dad has been a resident at Barchester Glenroyd for 6 months now. He has settled in extremely well, which is very reassuring as this is his first permanent care home. The staff have been very welcoming both to my dad and visiting family members. Nothing is too much trouble, and there are always plenty and varied activities on offer to keep residents entertained and active. Thank you for looking after my dad so well."
