Activities at Strachan House Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Life at Strachan House Care Home

Living in the fast lane!

Resident, Wilma Grassie at Strachan House had always wanted to ride in a fast car so staff at the home made her wish a reality. Strachan House has launched an exciting new project for 2023 called Gone Fishing.  Mandy Burgen Head of Wellbeing and Lifestyle explained “it’s important to recognise every individual’s achievements in life and celebrate them. We approached Rodger at Aston Martin Grange in Edinburgh and he was delighted to help. They provided the latest top of the range DBS Superleggera to take Wilma for that spin she always wanted”
