Lovely Home x

Dropped into the service for coffee and cake and had a very warm welcome from all staff members.

Jodie the home manager was very politely friendly and so was Chelsea the Home service Advisor, really delicious cake and very impressive how clean the home was.

"My wife has Alzheimer's and has been for several respite stays at Stoneham Grove, the last in April 2026. She has been very happy and well looked after there. The staff have always been polite and welcoming to both of us. They also understand her needs and recognise her from previous visits."

"My mum came to Stoneham Grove for a little holiday last Autumn & has since stayed on as a permanent resident. She is very happy there, the staff are extremely attentive & friendly, putting that extra effort into making sure the residents are happy. Mum loves the delicious sounding meals, really thrives on all the company & takes part in several activities of which there are many with varied themes, visitors are welcomed to join in too! It always feels a very happy place, lovely to visit her there & know that she has 24/7 care & is enjoying her stay!"

"Our experience of Stoneham Grove was nothing but outstanding. From our first enquiry ; to the home visit ; to the welcome ; to the fabulous, loving care given, all was first class. The team genuinely care for their residents and go the extra mile to ensure their needs are met. My Father enjoyed nine weeks respite care and we would not hesitate for him to return to Stoneham Grove for further respite or permanent care should the need arise."

"A high quality home backing onto woods and a nature reserve. The home itself is only just over a year old and reminds me of a high standard hotel. However, it is the staff who make the real difference. They make time to chat with and care for residents and their visitors. They are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Food is prepared and cooked on the premises and caters for a wide variety of tastes. There are usually 3 forms of entertainment per day ranging from simple playing of particular styles of music in one of the beautiful lounges to days out. It is an accepted fact that the cost to live in care homes are high and whilst this may be on the higher side locally, I am assured by a friend who works in these environments that it offers so much more and better facilities for the residents. All rooms have en suite, a large TV, a comfortable bed and chairs. So glad I put my Dad here. I know he is well cared for, safe and warm."

"I travelled from America with my mum to visit my nan here and I have to say this place is wonderful. From the pleasant staff to the facility itself, this place has everything for my Nan. I couldn't of asked for anything better for her and I know she will have the best quality of life here."

"By the time a dexision has to be made on behalf of a loved one and choosing a carehome, a family has already been through a heart wrenching process. Stoneham Grove - starting wtih Jodie, took away all fear. It was evident that the wealth of experience with every single member of staff has created a warm and welcoming home. This is one big family. The residents and staff live and work in harmony. We, as a family are extremely grateful for a perfect setting for our Mum."

Stoneham Grove is a beautiful home in a stunning woodland setting but what is most beautiful about it are the staff.The care shown to Mum has been second to none. Each member of staff greets her with a smile or little joke building a rapport which has enormously helped her settle in beyond my expectations. Mum loves to chill in the lounge the social hub of the home, to have a cuppa & cake watching the world go by or to chat to her friends. There are many fun inclusive activities & clubs she has baked cakes, made pizzas, played skittles & done a seated exercise class, enjoyed the many brilliant live concerts plus loved Pet therapy where she bottle-fed a lamb & cuddled rabbits. Ample opportunity to enjoy the beautiful garden accessible to all taking part in fortnightly gardening club. She has been on many trips to the garden centre, a boat trip along the Thames & we are looking forward to making more memories this spring. She also had a blast with all the Xmas activities Xmas fair, carol concerts & parties etc. Needless to say her room has everything she needs but she doesn't spend much time in it! Management respond well to any issues & ideas meaning I still feel part of Mum''s care-team. Heartfelt thanks to everyone at Stoneham Grove.

Fantastic Care Home – Truly Like Family
Amazing, amazing. This really is a wonderful care home. My mother stayed here for a two‑week respite and from the moment we walked through the doors, we felt like we were surrounded by family. It had been a traumatic time for us, and this incredible team gave my mum exactly the comfort, care, and break she needed.
Every single member of staff is amazing—nothing is ever too much trouble. The activities were brilliant, and although my mum started off quite anxious, she was gently encouraged to join in. And when she needed a moment, there were always plenty of reassuring hugs.
Not only did they look after my mum beautifully, but they were incredibly helpful and reassuring to me during some very emotional moments. The home has some lovely quiet spaces, which meant I could work there comfortably while visiting
I would recommend this care home to anyone. Compared to others of a similar calibre, it is exceptional value for money.
A huge thank you to Jodie, Marie, Lesley, Brian, Kerry, Iuliana, Eva, Benita, and every single person who cared for my mum. You made a world of difference to us. We look forward to coming back to visit very soon. Much love xxx

"My mum has been a resident here since the end of October, and we have been extremely happy with the care she receives. The staff are kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, which gives our family great peace of mind. The food is excellent, with a fantastic choice of dishes available daily, and residents are also invited to discuss upcoming menu changes with the chef. Mum is a very sociable person and she is enjoying the wide range of activities available, organised by the wonderful Luliana, from baking club, visits from the local pre-school, flower arranging, pamper sessions, chair exercises, trips to the garden centre, performances by musical acts all helping residents to stay engaged, active, and socially connected. The home itself is beautiful, well maintained, and welcoming, creating a comfortable and homely environment. Overall, we feel very fortunate to have found such a supportive and caring home for my mum and would highly recommend it to others."

"We chose Stoneham Grove for our mum following several visits . We were always made to feel welcome by all the staff and the ambassadors. Following a period of respite it was decided that our mum would be very well cared for here. Any settling in issues raised by the family have been addressed and changes put in place to help our mum and us feel confident she will be happy here for the rest of her life . She is so much better here than having care at home . The enrichment is superb . She has started eating better which has had a positive effect on her wellbeing . The carers are respectful and kind as are everyone we have come into contact with . This home is more like a 5 star hotel. We are looking forward to the spring where we can take our mum for strolls around the lovely garden."
