Meet the St Thomas Care Home team
Our staff are what hold the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring that residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home. See below to meet some of our friendly faces:
Welcome to St Thomas Care Home website, my name is Fatmata Cochrane, 'Fatima' and I am the General Manager here.
I have been a General Registered Nurse for over 10 years with a NMC pin. I've worked in both the NHS and the private healthcare sector, with experience as a Deputy Manager over the last 6 years including Acting General Manager for a neighbouring Barchester Healthcare Nursing Home.
My qualifications include a BSC (Hons) in Management with Human Resource Management and recently completed the NVQ level 5 in Health & Social Care.
I am passionate and committed about delivering an excellent quality of service and care for our residents. I am proud of our entire staff and as a team we will work together with all residents and relatives to ensure that everyone receives the individual care and service they require and deserve.
Hi, my name is Gemma and I am Clinical Development Nurse here at the home. My passion is to care for people and I love supporting care and nursing teams across the region to develop high-quality standards in practice
Hello, my name is Nar and I am the head chef here at St Thomas. I am originally from Nepal and moved the UK in 1994 when I joined the British Army. After 19 years I retired and started work as a Chef with Sodexo Defence in Tidworth, I was then given the opportunity to become Head Chef at St Thomas in 2016.
Nar and his team in the kitchen pride themselves on preparing and serving the highest quality food that is individually tailored to suit all residents.
Hello I am Keri, I have worked at St Thomas’s for years 6 as a senior carer and recently moved to be the Activity Coordinator. It is a joy to support the residents with their chosen activities each day and to get to know the all families.
I thoroughly enjoy my job as I work with truly amazing people, staff and residents alike and I feel privileged to work in a home with such a sense of community.
Hi, my name is Stacy and I joined Basingstoke Barchester Region in 2020. I have been a trainer for many years working with the NHS, the British Army and also have a medical background of being an Army medic. I’ve also worked as a carer providing care in the community and am very passionate about delivering the best training to our Team so that our residents can receive the very best care.

Hi! I’m Imre, the Head of Maintenance at St Thomas Care Home, and I started here in April 2021. I have worked in care home maintenance for Barchester in another home and always strive to keep a high standard of maintenance so that residents can be proud of the home they live in. I enjoy interacting with residents and involving them in our day-to-day routine when possible.
Linda Milsom (left) heads up the housekeeping and laundry, and has said that she has a hardworking team, who all take great pride in keeping St Thomas a clean and lovely place for those who live here.
Linda, Ruth (middle) and Carmen (right) have all worked at St Thomas for a number of years, and have seen great changes in the home during their time with us.
Hi, my name is Zoe and I'm the activities assistant here at St Thomas
