"My dad has been in Kirkburn Court since April 2023. The care he has received is second to none. Our family couldn't have asked for a better place for my dad to be looked after. Everyone in Kirkburn Court are always very welcoming. From the manager , receptionist and admin staff, catering, laundry, domestic , activity organisers and of course the carers. They are always so friendly to our family when we visit and they are so good to my dad. He has regular reviews where we can raise any worries if we have any. He gets out and about regularly for visits arranged by the activity organisers and he is encouraged to take part in lots of activities in the home which he really enjoys. I would definitely recommend Kirkburn to anyone who are looking for a care home for a family member."

"I would thoroughly recommend Kirkburn Care Home Peterhead to any family who require an excellent home for a relative. The staff are caring, friendly, can't do enough for you. The home is very clean, plenty variety of meals.I am at present sitting with my mum for end of life care and the staff from the cleaners, carers, nurses, management have gone above and beyond to make this easier for us with their care."

"My grandma has been a resident at Kirkburn care home for over 3 years, she is currently on end of life care and I would like to highly commend the absolutely amazing staff, all so attentive to my grandmas care and also the needs of the extended family. All staff members , care , cleaners and management have been so very supportive and caring on this very hard time. Nothing has been too much for them , they are an absolutely fantastic team and should be highly recognised on the service they provide"

"Staff are excellent so attentive and caring during a very hard time with both my family visiting and grandma the care given has been excellent they couldn't do enough for us all providing tea/coffee biscuits and sandwiches throughout the day and meals always offered the gentleness towards my grandma is so heartwarming and cannot fault the care home and staff at all"

"The care that my friend receives at Kirkburn Court is first class. My friend has a great relationship with the staff and enjoys sharing banter with them. He refers to Kirkburn as his home and he is very settled there. I have found all the staff to be very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. There is always a variety of things going on in the home, including concerts, bus trips and animal visits. My friend particularly enjoys spending time in the garden. The home always has a warm and fun atmosphere and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone."

"mum stayed there for 2years her time there she was very well looked after and the staff was excellent with mum and and all the entrainment seeing photos on social media she enjoyed taking part mum had dementia and even when her health declined she was still very well looked after they even made me welcome right from the beginning and made me feel part of there family manager & mangerment was excellent all staff was exceptional"

"Mum spent 2 years with Kirkburn Court. In her time there she was very well looked after by all staff. It was apparent from photos on Facebook and on our visits she was enjoying life. As with many dementia sufferers. Her condition declined, but the level of care never altered. She really enjoyed her food and the entertainment provided there. As with some, she will be remembered for some fruity language! At the very beginning we were welcomed as family and this is still the case even after mum has passed. Th care and attention provided to mum was exceptional. The help, guidance and support show to us was both informative and useful. Manager at Kirkburn Court has always been approachable and understanding throughout. Thank you to all."

The whole team from utilities team , care team, activities team and management team continually interact with residents, never passing them without a friendly gesture, smile or a chat! . Residents care needs are continually assessed and the activities team keep those who want to be busy.. busy! The Kirkburn Team are not just a Nursing Home Team , they are the Kirkburn Family to mum and her family!"

"The care my dad received at Kirkburn Court was first class. Everyone from the General Manager and office team to every last nurse and carer had my dad's best interest at heart. We were all made so welcome and nothing was a bother. I would highly recommend Kirkburn Court to anyone looking for a Care home for their loved one."

"my father was a resident from may 2022, until he recently passed away in hospital , but was still a resident , in the time spent there he had many complex needs , he needed a lot of care , but tried too be as independent as possible , he managed with fantastic care from the carers, nurses, catering staff, and management, they always tried their best with him , he loved his music and quizzes and got involved when he could , he spent his last few weeks in hospital , but would rather have been at kirkburn , the staff always made me and my family welcome , with no restrictions on a visit , when he passed away , several members of staff attended his service and lined up outside the cemetry gate too see him off , nice touch from them and was appreciated by family , would highly recommend kirkburn court care home. well run and friendly. 10/10"

In the short period of time my mum was in Kirkburn Court (15 weeks) we were extremely happy with the care she recieved not only from the nurses and care staff but from the whole team which included the activities staff, house keeping, kitchen and office. Everyone knew Mum and did everything they could to ensure mum's needs were met. The senior general manager, David, runs a fantastic facility and it is evident that he leads his team well, having so many members of staff recieving recognition for long service, some having worked for more than 10 years with a number reaching the 20+ years! . The activities offered to all the residents at Kirkburn Court were amazing and so varied. Mum especially enjoyed meeting the many animals that visited the home as well as the singing and dancing activities.
Dad and I were made to feel most welcome and our daily visits to the home were met with many a friendly face, a hot cuppie and a delicious cake. A real home from home.

"I speak on behalf of my family by saying that Barchester Kirkburn Court Care Home was excellent. It was a daunting prospect transitioning my grandad into a care home but it was a smooth process with the help of the kind and caring staff who were very attentive. It really felt like a home away from home. Knowing my grandad was being well looked after and cared for in the ways we no longer could, gave us so much reassurance. It was always pleasant going in to visit him and the friendly staff were always a pleasure to talk to. We felt very well looked after as visitors too. We can now look back knowing that my grandad was in the best place receiving the best care in his latter life with dementia and we are forever grateful to Kirkburn Care Home for that."

"The care Mum received at Kirkburn was second to none. They went above and beyond to ensure all of Mum’s needs were met. The staff became her friends, and they spent time laughing and talking with her. They also looked after me when I visited Mum daily, always asking how I was doing. The end-of-life care Mum received was amazing and allowed her family to say goodbye, knowing she was treated with the utmost care, love and dignity until the end. No one wants a relative to have to go into a care home, but if this is something that becomes necessary for your family you could not get a better place for your relative than Kirkburn Court. My thanks and gratitude to all the staff who looked after my mum so well."

"My mum was looked after so well by, her second family, the staff at Barchester Kirkburn Court Care Home. Having a severely disabled son of our own, we know to look for the wee things that are seen to and if they're seen to then you know the big things are seen to automatically. And my goodness they were definitely seen to. Not only did they attend to my mum with so much love, care and laughter but they looked after my dad who visited every day with the same love, care and laughter. Thank you."
