Meet the Dovedale Court Care Home team
From nurses and carers to chefs and housekeepers, staff in our home are here to deliver high quality care and services to those we support. Check below to meet some of the friendly faces you are likely to see when visiting our home:
Hello, my name is Rachael, and I am the General Manager here at Dovedale Court. Welcome to our website!
I have worked in the care sector for over 20 years, working my way up from a Carer all the way to General Manager, and I have managed care homes since 2010.
I'm an RMN and extremely passionate about elderly care – especially those living with dementia. I am a hands-on manager, promoting and expecting high standards of care for those we support.
I'm approachable and always have time to chat with residents, staff and visitors.
Tracy joined Barchester in 2016 having started at one of our sister homes as a nurse before transferring here as a nurse, until recently being granted the deputy manager position here at Dovedale which Tracy is really enjoying and excited to progress in her career with Barchester. Tracy has always had a background in care starting as a healthcare assistant in her teens, then joined Queen Alexandra’s royal army nursing core then becoming a L&D nurse in 2007. Tracy thoroughly enjoys her position here and is looking forward to the future.
Susan has worked for Barchester since 2008, starting at one of our sister homes as a Care Assistant, then progressing to a Senior Carer, Susan moved to Dovedale in 2010 as a senior carer, then applied for the Head of Care position on our Memory lane unit. I enjoy my role and working with my team and residents.
Susan is our home administrator and joined Dovedale in 2011. Susan has helped many with their search for a suitable home for their loved ones making it that little easier, and also helping them to understand all of the finances and fees. She welcomes visitors into the home and is always happy to help each person that comes through our doors.
Katie started work at Dovedale in April 2016. She has a background in care and likes to help people get the most enjoyment out of life. She likes to learn about residents' passions and try her best to implement them some way into our activities programme within the home.
Sarah has worked at Dovedale Court since May 2014 as a Domestic Assistant and was promoted to Head Housekeeper in February 2016. She has many years of experience in housekeeping, but never in a care home setting before Dovedale, she really enjoys her role here and each day is different. Sarah is always happy to help and likes to let the residents be involved in helping to clean and tidy when they ask.
My Name is Peter Flemming, I Joined Barchester in 2014, before working here I have never worked in a care setting before. I have learnt so much in the two years that I have been here.
I have 15 years working within the building trade, being my first time I have worked in this setting I am looking forward to this new challenge, the experience I have gained I hope will reflect in the work I do here at Dovedale.
I look forward to working hard in the team here at Dovedale and improving and making a difference in the experience of the Residents who live here.
