Activities at Chestnut Gardens Care Home

We had another successful BBQ recently where our residents , their relatives and guests enjoyed great food . They were entertained by an amazing singer and with the weather being very kind to us it made this a truly amazing afternoon. 

It is always a joy to have Tracy here from Craft N Beats entertaining our residents and loved ones . It is lovely to see everyone enjoying these sessions so much . 

We held our first ever Falls Prevention Workshop and this was a huge success and the residents and guests found this event very informative. 

We will hold a similar event again so keep an eye out for the announcement for September. 

Flamenco dancing afternoon at our home was thoroughly enjoyed by many of  the residents and their family members .  

The residents enjoyed an afternoon of making various celebratory cards , along with a nice afternoon of conversation.  Sometimes it is just nice to use your own artistic skills and make your own designs. 

With the weather fine recently we held a May BBQ for residents and their families. It was such a joyous occasion with great food, great entertainment and brilliant warm sunny weather . We hope the summer brings amazing weather so we can hold more BBQ,s for everyone to enjoy. 

Rik our activities lead led an afternoon of fun by making cocktails for our resident's and guests. The tasting session was the highlight of each new cocktail made 

The weather is so nice so the residents had fun in the sun with Jenga time. It was great to see the concentration and then the excitement build as to when the tower was going to collapse.   

      Our activity lead Rik led an inspiring Yoga in the Garden session.  The residents appreciated the warm weather and the relaxing atmosphere our garden gives. We look forward to more activities in our beautiful gardens as the summer weather continues.
