This review is specifically about the Management, staff and facilities at the Barchester’s Mount Tryon Care Home in Torquay.

Mum has now been resident at the Mount Tryon Care Home for nearly 4 months.

Quite naturally, Mum was a very unsure about the big change in her life moving from independent living into “care”. Change at any time in life can be difficult to handle - for a 91 year old such change is significant.

However, it wasn’t long before Mum settled in!

The light rooms; open and free layout; the kind, welcoming and positive staff - management, nurses, support people, cleaners and handymen; the excellent food; the daily interactive activities; medical support; its security; and its positive ethos all make Mount Tryon a true home from home.

Her happiness is core. We are happy and confident that Mum is being expertly cared for and that her future path will be safe and happy.
