Mum was transferred to Plas y Dderwen as she had been wrongly assessed as having challenging behaviour. The lovely staff at Plas y Dderwen quickly realised she was in extreme pain and approaching the end of her life. She was given suitable painkillers and became much more comfortable. Staff were knowledgable and clear about the situation and totally supportive of her and us. They were caring and sensitive and couldn’t do enough to help us all through his difficult time.
Over the ten days we were there with mum we noticed that all the other residents were treated very well, with respect and understanding.
