Joy Whitlock wins Care Catering Award

Joy Whitlock, Head Chef, at Barchester Healthcare’s Harton Grange Care Home in South Shields has won the ‘Care Catering Hero Award’, which was presented to her at the NACC Awards ceremony on October 5th 2017.

Over 200 people were nominated for this prestigious award, but Joy was named the overall winner thanks to her outstanding achievements in catering.

The event is hosted by the National Association of Care Catering and aims to highlight the ‘continued exceptional work undertaken by care providers and caterers’. The Care Catering Hero category puts the spotlight on frontline workers/volunteers, specific catering services and care workers within a care environment who go above and beyond the call of duty in their job role.
