What our families say on carehome.co.uk

"My husband was a resident at Kings Park from January-November 2023. He had complex needs but was treated with compassion, empathy and dignity. As a family we found the care and support given to us as well as my husband was excellent. Sadly my husband passed away in November but as a family we found the kindness and support especially from two members of staff in particular at this sad time was such a comfort. Kings Park is an excellent care home for your loved ones."

"Needed complete rest, following an operation, to fully recuperate before going home. Excellent environment and facilities. Caring and kind staff. Good management shown. Lovely, comfortable room. Treated with dignity at all times. If I need to, I would certainly come to Barchester Kings Park Care Home."

"As a family, we are very pleased with all the care and support my mum received from all the staff at Barchester. The staff are very friendly, always willing to help whenever needed. I have seen my mum settle into her new home since last November. She is really enjoying all the activities that are available to her. My mum has dementia and she feels very safe at King's Park. Mum is always treated with dignity and care, very pleased with the overall experience."

"My nan has been at Barchester Kings Park Care Home for nearly a year now. It is clear to see how settled, happy and well looked after she is. The staff at Kings Park are a very special group of people, they'd do anything for the residents. Each and every time we visit, we are greeted with a smile. If you're looking for somewhere to care for a loved one how you'd care for them yourself then Kings Park is the place."

"I am very happy with all the care and support my mum has been given in every area, the staff are amazing and have also been very supportive to me and my family. My mum is so very happy, is very settled. The staff worked hard on helping and supporting my mum as my dad passed away, it was a very difficult time for mum who has dementia and us as a family. Kings Park is such a very lovely home for my mum to live and we are made very welcome too. Couldn't be happier."

"Towards the end of 2022, we had to make the difficult decision of moving nan into Kings Park whilst grandad received palliative care. We couldn't be happier with how nan has settled in, the staff and residents have been so welcoming. It's so nice to see how comfortable nan is and how much she's enjoying herself. Thank you from the bottom of our heart's!"

"My mother has been in Kings Park since September of last year, shortly after the new home opened. Myself and my two brothers have been very happy with the quality of the home, staff and facilities. More importantly, so has my mother, who settled in very quickly and has made a lot of new friends."

"Myself and two brothers are happy with the facilities and staff at Barchester Kings Park Care Home. There have been a few teething problems but they have been sorted out quickly. Our mother is very happy there and has settled in quickly. Covid has of course restricted some visiting and outings but has been handled well by the home."

"My mother moved into Kings Park in October as one of their first residents. My first visit was not until April as I live in the US. I can not overstate how impressed I was with the facilities and the staff. I had communicated with them prior to my visit; they could not have been more helpful or friendly. I was able to spend time with my mother every day, and they allowed us to use one of their wheelchairs when I took her out. The resident's rooms are very spacious and well equipped. The public areas are beautifully decorated and always clean and welcoming. I feel very comfortable that my mother is in the best possible place and is very well taken care of. I am looking forward to my next visit later this year."

"Absolutely brilliant! Staff are friendly, and caring for the residents is the number one priority. Granny is the happiest she has been for years, and we are so grateful for everything they have made the change into the care home so easy! The staff are always happy to take a moment to answer our questions also, which makes the transition feel less scary. Really happy!"

"My mum is on Memory Lane, and I would like to say how amazing the staff are; they are so caring. Genuinely interested in giving the best care and making the life of my mum the best it can be. They are friendly and have given me emotional backup. Thank you."

"The inability to get any assistance for my mother with her phone, she's a stroke victim and her phone wasn't charged for 12 out of 14 days stay, The inability of being able to speak to anyone that could answer the phone or assist in this matter cut my mother off from any contact, save the carers for all but 3 days of her stay due to not also being taken to the dining area. A Covid outbreak meant some were isolated, including my mum who didn't have it. Food below expectations also, fresh was expected not reheated. Disappointing after previous brilliant service at another Barchester home."

"Mother and father-in-law arrived at Kings Park after quite a few problematic weeks, mother from another care home and father a month later from hospital. The staff at Kings Park have been exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble, everything is explained in good detail. The management team have been extremely helpful, understanding and accommodating of our family needs. The care staff are patient, kind and compassionate to just the right level and the admin team can always find the answer to questions and is extremely welcoming. All in all a beautiful home with excellent facilities and excellent staff."

"Mum has been a resident for 3 months, Kings Park is a brand new, light, airy and welcoming care home. The resident's rooms are extremely attractive and well equipped as are the communal areas which are kept extremely clean. All of the staff take an interest in Mum's well being and support her very well. The food is of a high quality which encourages her to eat well and she particularly enjoys the regular trips out in the home's own minibus. Activities she has enjoyed include visiting singers and animal owners. If you are looking for a care home in Ferndown I would highly recommend a visit."

"I just wish to thank your whole team for the excellent care and attention given to my father-in-law during his stay with you. You handled everything with great efficiency and expertise, but more than that you really did care in an emotional sense for his wellbeing and happiness. Yes, the building itself is first class but in my opinion, your staff are above that."

"My brother's and I visited a lot of care homes in the Ferndown area but once we had visited Kings Park, it always stayed at the top of our list because of the positive attitude of the staff and the planned actions the management had to improve mum's quality of life. Mum has now been at Kings Park for almost 4 weeks and we've seen our mothers quality of life and wellbeing greatly improve over this period. She is taking her medicines, eating plenty of delicious food offered at Kings Park, socialising with the other residents and going on organised trips to Bournemouth and the New Forest. More than that we all think mum is happy at Kings Park. Well done to the Kings Park team."

"My mum was the first resident at Kings Park Care Home and was treated like royalty upon arrival and ever since. Mum has settled in very well following a turbulent time due to her dementia. All the staff and management have been absolutely fantastic and I couldn't praise them highly enough. I know mum is happy there and that makes me and our family happy and grateful. The support from everyone means the world to mum and all of her children. Thank you Kings Park."
