Activities at Farley Gardens Care Home

We were ecstatic to host our latest 'Toast & Roast' - a community event designed to celebrate Sundays with our local community - by hosting them for a complimentary Sunday lunch with all the trimmings, followed by live music. 

It was a full house and everyone stayed to enjoy a special live set from local talent, Jimmy, afterwards which even included a few Scottish songs in honour of Burns Night!  Jimmy was happy to take requests throughout his set and finished with the room's universal request for Frank Sinatra's "My Way".

A fabulous Sunday filled with food, friendship and Frank!

The home was full of energy as residents enjoyed an afternoon variety performance from the talented Hannah Lebrecht. 

Her mix of magic, singing and dancing quickly captured everyone’s attention, building to a lively atmosphere that had residents up on their feet and joining in. It was a fun, shared afternoon that brought plenty of smiles around the home.

A full house & full hearts in our home throughout the Christmas period. We were delighted to extend the invite to our residents' loved ones for a Christmas meal to remember at Farley Gardens, followed by games & karaoke. 

We had some very special visitors from Browells Wood Pet Therapy ahead of Christmas!
While the puppy, kittens, bunny rabbits and chicken stole hearts, the real star of the show was Kevin the pony!!
Our dear friends from Wokingham Link Visiting Scheme got to join in the farmyard fun too. 
Complete with his own sleigh bells, Kevin gave us a jingle-worthy rendition of Jingle Bells we won’t soon forget.

A spot of retail therapy at our local Christmas market and what a treat it was! We couldn’t resist a photo opportunity or two… 

We recently hosted our own creative friendship making activity and were delighted with our colourful creations to cherish and gift to our loved ones!

Residents rolled up their sleeves and got busy whipping up wellness shots to give those immune systems a boost - and they were a hit all round! 
The pomegranate shot stole the show while others loved the fiery kick of our turmeric & ginger blend. Even visitors couldn’t resist joining in on the wellness fun sampling the shots too.
Here’s to starting January feeling refreshed, energised and full of flavour!

We were delighted to host our 2nd Bark & Brew dog community café, welcoming 8 very good dogs & their lovely humans to Farley Gardens 
We couldn’t resist setting up a festive “Santa Paws” photo shoot for the pups, and using the developed polaroids, owners got creative making their own snow globe keepsake from the afternoon – a paws-itively magical memento.
We were also lucky enough to be joined by the talented Stephanie from Bracknell Camera Club, who captured some paw-some moments from the day. Keep your eyes peeled for those very soon 
Thank you to everyone who joined us…. we can’t wait to continue growing our community of dog lovers in 2026.

We were joined by marvellous local talent, Daniel Brewerton, who treated us to a Morning of Music featuring the very best festive tunes! 

A Christmas singalong simply wouldn't be complete without our Chef's special spiced mulled wine & delicious home-made mince pies. 

Local community popped by to enjoy the festivities including Bracknell Camera Club and by the final song, the dance floor was full!

We look forward to welcoming Daniel back in the new year for another fabulous event.

We rose to the occasion for National Pizza Week when Residents became master pizza-olas, choosing their own toppings while the dough flew through the air!

Bruno, one of our fantastic kitchen team here at Farley Gardens, recently bought in his friends to perform during our Residents & Families Christmas Party and WHAT a show they put on for us!
There is truly nothing better than a good old singalong and boogie!  
Thank you to Bruno & Co. for a fabulous afternoon - we loved having you!

​We had a unbe-leaf-ably good time during the latest Barchester Live Session, to craft unique Christmas table centrepieces from fresh evergreen foliage - mostly all locally foraged!  
Everyone got creative following the interactive instructions, resulting in each piece its own one-of-a-kind creation, now proudly displayed around our home! 

Our residents told us they wanted to help spread some Christmas cheer this festive season so we got straight to work in making our own gift pouches including a heartfelt poem, candy canes, Santa chocolate coins & more to gift to our local community. 
Residents found it a bit chilly on the day so sent our trusty HSA Jo out into our local town centre to spread some festive cheer on their behalf. Safe to say it went down a storm!
