Activities at Farley Gardens Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hello, my name is Mareesa.
I am a dedicated Activities Lead with experience working in care as a Senior, which gives me a strong understanding of residents individual needs and wellbeing. Celebrating life at Farley Gardens Care Home

Garden Centre Delights!
A recent outing on the minibus to our local garden centre was a must for the residents, who enjoyed woodfire pizza and refreshments, before rounding the afternoon off with ice-cream in the sunshine!

Platinum Anniversary Celebrations for Graham & Barbara!
We were delighted to throw celebrations in honour of a wonderful milestone: Residents Graham and Barbara's 70th Wedding Anniversary!
The home prepared a special cake, card, bubbles and flowers to mark the impressive occasion, as we all wished the happy couple our heartfelt congratulations!

Gentleman's Club!
Cold beers, classic pub snacks, and plenty of lively sporting chat made for a brilliant afternoon with the Farley Gardens gents!

An early Easter hunt for our visiting furry friends!
During our latest Bark and Brew, we decided to set up the visiting Pups a little "Easter Egg" hunt around the garden, featuring plastic eggs filled with dog treats. Residents were only too happy to help set up the route and hide the eggs - Henry took his role so seriously in fact, he donned a fetching pair of Easter spectacles!
We all loved watching the clever dogs sniff out their Easter treats in the stunning sunshine!

Birthday Celebrations!
We recently celebrated the birthday of our wonderful resident, Jennifer, complete with a home-made cake of her choice and gift from the Farley Gardens Family.
We hope you had a lovely day celebrating!

Baking for the Bark and Brew!
Delighted with our new cookie cutters, Maggie got to work in rolling out the pastry to make our almost-famous dog biscuits for our monthly Bark & Brew community café for pups. Nice work Maggie!

A Baa-rilliiant visit from some fluffy friends!
We recently enjoyed a visit from our friends at Browells Pet Therapy who brought along little lambs and their fluffy pal to meet our residents and team. This certainly put a Spring in our step!

A tee-riffic time at Crazy Golf!
A competitive spirit was in the air when our residents enjoyed a fantastic day out at Hoebridge Golf Centre playing a few fun rounds of golf in the sunshine.

Tiny Paws, Big Smiles!
Maggie enjoyed some lovely cuddles with Milo & Loki - puppies belonging to Activity Lead, Mareesa.
Mareesa decided to surprise residents by bringing in her 6 week old miniature dachshunds for the day.

Spring has sprung!
We made the most of the gorgeous blue skies and visited our local favourite hotspot, South Hill Park! Residents loved spotting the signs of Spring including listening to the stunning water features, hearing birdsong, and spotting squirrels and ducks along the route! Finished off of course with a few tasty treats in the cafe. It's so lovely to be back.

Horsing Around!

Happy 95th Birthday Eileen!
For Eileen's milestone birthday, the Farley Gardens team worked with her loved ones to plan a surprise celebration for the birthday girl with her nearest and dearest, enjoying a special afternoon tea with bubbles in our private dining room.

A fun Sunday with live music from Natasha King!
We had our toes tapping and hands clapping this time during our recent Toast and Roast event!

Stocking up on flowers for our garden!
Our residents were very happy to share their green-fingered garden knowledge during a recent trip to the garden centre, as we stocked up on beautiful florals ready for our garden and potting shed.
We are all so excited for Spring and to add our own touch on our lovely garden!

Pop to the Shops!
We recently popped onto the minibus and headed to our local "big M&S" in Sandhurst, which is always a fabulous day out for some retail therapy with friends!
