"Briardene Care Home is a consistently well managed, well run and friendly Care Home. Communication is open, all staff - both front facing, / back office and inbetween are wonderful - with so many skills between them and with the shared ability of being able to well look after residents with complex needs. Staff know well the complexities of each resident, including my Mum, which means they are well versed in spotting behavioural or physical changes. Thus meaning they are able to offer early intervention where necessary. There are activities organised, there is a wellbeing team and my Mum always looks clean, well groomed and she is encouraged to eat and drink plenty of fluids. Staff have even kindly assisted with calls , especially when I have called from overseas. If ever there are any qu's or concerns staff / senior staff members are always on hand to advise or inform. Thank you so much for your ongoing diligence, patience and for all your skilled loving care."

"Absolutely first class, my mother is been at Briardene for two years now and as I live 350 miles away it's so good to know she is being looked after and cared for. The staff are amazing and so good to residents. I honestly cannot praise Briardene enough."

"Fantastic Care Home! If your loved one is lucky enough to get a place in this care home then you can rest assured they will be well looked after and treated to the best care. My mum has been here for over 7 years and the staff are amazing! The care and love they give to her is above and beyond and this is also extended to our family. "We have nothing but praise for this care home. CARE is the right word, everybody at this home care, not just for my mam but for all the family. The support and help they have given the whole family is immense, nothing was ever too much . Sadly my mum passed but even then the staff were still supporting us and so kind . Mam was treated like a person. We always knew she was being cared for from the best, with knowledge and understanding of her needs. Based on our experience I would strongly recommend this home to anyone who has loved ones with advanced dementia. "The staff are always welcoming, friendly,, helpful and supportive. Residents are treated by the dedicated staff with exceptional care, respect, dignity and patience. The welfare and comfort of residents is a priority. Activities are varied and consideration is given to my husband's capabilities and interests. Nothing seems to be to much trouble for staff. Any queries or concerns have been answered or acted upon quickly. I can't thank the staff enough for giving my husband the care I can no longer give him."

"My husband's is cared for by the amazing staff at Briardene. From the management, nurses, admin, support workers, housekeepers, chefs and of course the handymen all are brilliant cheerful and kind and so hardworking. The support I get is outstanding from everyone. He always looks smart and his room is immaculate. As he can't be at home its the only place I would want him to be Huge thanks everyone."

"My father is currently residing in Briardene Care Home and the care that he is receiving is 5 star. Every staff member is amazing. They truly care about the residents and have taken the time to get to know our dad. For example, they asked us about his interests when he moved there (he loves gardening) and they took him to a garden centre to buy plants to make a hanging basket with him. This is one example of many! Dad goes out on trips for fish and chips (his favourite), there is an activities co-ordinator who involves dad in a number of exciting and stimulating activities. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are warm, friendly and extremely welcoming to all of our family. Refreshments are offered every time we visit. At Briardene, the hygiene levels are outstanding. Dad's room is always clean, warm and cosy. Dad's personal hygiene standards are kept high, too. We cannot speak highly enough of staff. We feel extremely lucky that dad gets to experience their care. Thankyou"

"Mum was here for a few years and was settled here. The care she received whilst she was there was fantastic. They knew her and her needs, they knew her history. They listened to her. They took her out when able. They involved her with activities. Great communication with family. Food excellent. Care in her last few days amazing, especially care and compassion to the family. All staff lovely. Can't fault."

"Since my wife transferred to Briardene Care Home, I have noted weekly the higher standards of personal care that she has been receiving from the attentive care staff of all grades, races and religions. Her bedroom is always clean and tidy and appears warm and comfortable. I am personally greeted affectionately on every visit."

"I have made many visits to see my friend since he came to Barchester Briardene Care Home over two years ago. During this time, the staff have always been caring, compassionate and friendly towards him over this period. They always appear 'for' the residents, irrespective of their circumstances or degree of incapacity. They always appear self-motivated and positive. They are always very patient with the patients! Working relationships between the staff appear to be excellent too. They are always very friendly and helpful when I speak to them and I really appreciate the cups of tea they make for me. The facilities are very good and well-maintained to a high standard. Staff always appear busy and this includes caretaking staff who are often seen on my visits. If I ever succumb to the ailments suffered by the residents at Briardene, I hope that they will find a place for me. Thank you all for doing such a first-class job for my friend."

Dad has been a resident for almost 2 years at Briardene and before this I could never have gone on holiday and relaxed without worrying the whole time.
