I am a Foot Health Practitioner independently offering my services since the home opened. There are a few reasons why this home stands out from others, all the residents are extremely happy and this comes up in regular chats during my visits.
The main reason for my review would be how I am treated, I am not seen as a number/random contractor just passing by, I am treated as one of the team and all staff members are happy for a chat. All staff are amazing, but a special mention goes to Lorraine (receptionist) and Olivia (Admin) who I deal with to make my job run smoothly.

The facilities are absolutely amazing. They very kindly allowed us to hold our team meeting here and they could not have been more welcoming. It is a really lovely place to spend time.

Bayleaf is a lovely care home. The staff are very caring, professional and efficient. Lots of activities and social outings to make the days fun and interesting. The gardens are really pretty and the hairdressing salon allows residents to have their normal pamper which adds to the well being experienced at the home.

"During the three weeks respite care, after major surgery (hip operation) I was warmly welcomed; cared for with understanding and received help when necessary. Mealtimes were a time to look forward to, suitably prepared for all our needs by the excellent Chef. Whilst arriving in a rather fragile & nervous state, I very quickly started to feel at home and benefit from the personal care & everything going on around me: I have thanked the person who recommended me to you!"

"We can't thank the staff enough. Pete was booked in for respite (for me!) 3 days before taken hospital. He was very ill but Baylead kept in touch & saved his room. They have gone up & beyond caring for him. Today, with help managed to use Sara Stedy & now sitting in his chair pedalling! Truly unbelievable - wonderful, caring staff"

"Delighted to report that the management & staff managed my husband extremely well. He has been in 3 different homes & twice he has escaped & had to come home early. Respite care for me has been very beneficial. I needed sleep & time for myself. After a few days; my husband wanted to leave. He refused to wash, change his clothes, etc. A male nurse was requested but it didn't make any difference. Eventually, he became interested in the activities & enjoyed the company (& cake!) in the lounge area. He has enjoyed his food. He swims in the local pool with my carer who collects him & returns him to "Bayleaf". He loves swimming, & only once did he refuse to go, when in his rebellious faze after 1 1/2 weeks."

"Bayleaf Care Home is exceptional; its focus is on providing residents with a safe and comfortable home environment with individually tailored care. The staff are welcoming, professional, friendly, responsible and genuinely caring, not just towards the residents themselves but also to their visiting families and friends. The food is delicious, the en-suite rooms are a good size, there is plenty of entertainment in-house, and trips out to provide lots of stimulation, and everywhere is kept clean and tidy. What more can I say than should I ever need to move into a care home, this is the one I would choose."

"The care home is absolutely beautiful, very well-appointed, with a calm and very well-run atmosphere. The level of care is exceptional, with Mum checked on every hour during the night. Currently, I am visiting Mum, who is completing various customer finance information forms, which at first appear to be complicated, but I'm beginning to understand the process. A property company appears to be used by Barchester to determine the market value of Mum's property, which may conflict with the estate agent's evaluation. The property must be sold at the market validation. I'm not sure how this aspect of the process will be resolved, but other than that, we as a family wouldn't want Mum to be anywhere else."

I recently hosted a public sector event there. Really great place and the team really looked after us all. Everyone in attendance received such a warm welcome and were all really impressed by the space and what was available. Thank you so much for having us

"Bayleaf care home has honestly been a life line for my family. My dad first came here for respite care and then went to live independantly at a retirement village. When he found this too much to cope with we were thrilled that Bayleaf could accomodate him permanently. In just 4 weeks he has improved massively and is so well cared for. The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for him. It's safe to say both my dad and my family are very happy."

"We contacted Bayleaf regarding respite care for my brother-in-law and had the most amazing experience totally not what I expected at all. From the first contact with reception to when he left was amazing. They quickly expedited his arrival and he was in within a couple of days, they arranged the day of of coming in to meet our needs, The welcome and care he received was amazing. The staff were very attentive and interacted with him. He was very touched that they always remembered the name of his dog which means so much to him. The variety and selection of Meals were fabulous. I even got to sample a lunchtime meal. The café area is lovely area to use whilst visiting members of family and was enjoyed by my family also His stay was only for a week as an introduction to Life at Bayleaf, but he will definitely be returning as and when needed with a view to becoming a resident full-time. The staff at Bayleaf made us feel at ease with the whole situation many thanks to everyone"
