A brand new, purpose-built care home, Alice Grange is located in Kesgrave on the outskirts of Ipswich, with good road links to the A12 and A14 trunk roads. This care home is close to the beautiful East Anglian coast line with many Blue Flag beaches. Nearby towns include Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, Martlesham Heath and Colchester.
Alice Grange provides 24-hour nursing care to frail older people, to older people living with dementia, who are supported in a dedicated Memory Lane Community and to younger adults with physical disabilities or otherwise in need of care. Alice Grange bases its care around personalised care plans drawn up with the individual and their families.
Our memory Lane Community is specifically designed for people living with dementia. Corridors have points of interest offering sensory stimulation and free access to a balcony garden.
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator for the care sector in England. In their most recent report (CQC’s copyright, recording two visits in October 2013) they noted residents saying: ‘They do look after me, I’m happy enough,’ and ‘Loads better than my old place, 20 times better.’ Relatives said their next of kin were ‘Looking nice, clean and tidy… you always hear the negative things in the press but we just think …. is being well looked after; I wouldn’t mind coming here when I get older,’ and ‘Staff are so patient… I have never found a bad one.’
The best way to get to know Alice Grange is to visit us, however. We welcome visitors, so please feel free to drop in.
