New Chairman of Barchester announced

Baroness Margaret Ford is appointed Chairman of the leading quality care provider Barchester Healthcare, which has more than 220 homes across the UK with a growing portfolio. 

Currently Chairman of the Olympic Park Legacy Company, Chairman of May Gurney Plc, and Hon President of Epilepsy Action, Baroness Ford was delighted to accept the position.  She said: “I am passionate about the importance of high quality care and so taking this position is the perfect fit”.

Baroness Ford took the torch from Denis Brosnan on 25 January 2012.  Of his time as Chairman of Barchester Healthcare, Denis said: “having been associated with Barchester from the very start, in 2001 I gave the company the commitment of a further 10 years.  How time flies!  During my period as Chairman we have achieved a tremendous amount, now employing almost 15,000 people to care for more than 10,000 residents.  As we enter 2012 as the leading high quality care provider, I am proud to welcome Baroness Ford to this wonderful company”.
