Barchester says a special ‘Thank You’ this Carers’ Week

This week is Carers’ Week and Barchester is saying a huge “thank you” to all of our wonderful carers!

Barchester couldn’t provide the services it does without such hard working and compassionate carers who are committed to the company values. The care and support carers give helps people to live with dignity, choice and as much independence as possible. Their work has a direct impact on people’s quality of life and while it can be a challenging role, it’s one of the most important jobs out there.

Hampers of Cadbury’s chocolates have been sent out for all carers employed at Barchester homes and hospitals to share as they celebrate Carers’ Week with colleagues and residents.

Mike O’Reilly, General Counsel and Director of Care, Risk and Compliance, went to Barchester’s Cheverton Lodge Care Home this week to meet some of the carers there and take a look around the home.

Mike said: "We are very proud of our carers who work hard to provide high quality, personalised care to the people living in our homes. Our carers often go above and beyond the call of duty, offering amazing care as well as friendship and comfort.   I’d like to say an enormous ‘thank you’ to every single Barchester carer! I’d also like to say a special thank you to the team at Cheverton Lodge for their kind hospitality, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone."
