Barchester says a special 'thank you' this Carers Week

As the country celebrates Carers Week 2016 (6th - 12th June), Barchester Healthcare has thanked their 9,000 carers by sending biscuits and cards to every Barchester care home across the UK.

Carers do such a vital job and form very special bonds with the people they look after. They are the day-to-day face of Barchester, working directly with residents and families to ensure the very best quality care and support is given.

Barchester Healthcare’s Director of Quality and Clinical Governance, Trish Morris-Thompson, is very proud of the carers within Barchester Healthcare. She said: “We are very proud of our carers, who work hard to provide high quality, personalised care to the people living in our homes. Our carers often go above and beyond the call of duty and have a huge impact on people’s lives. They also offer friendship and comfort to residents and their relatives during what can be a very emotional time. I’d like to say an enormous ‘thank you’ to every single Barchester carer!”

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
