Barchester goes on a bear hunt for Foundation Week 2015

Barchester care homes across the UK are celebrating Barchester’s Charitable Foundation Week (25th to 31st May) with tea parties, cake sales and a hunt for Barchy Bear, the charity’s adorable mascot.

Barchester’s Charitable Foundation supports older people and other adults with a disability by giving small grants to help promote personal independence, dignity and quality of life. Foundation Week is the highlight of the year of fundraising for the charity.

Barchester care homes are hiding bears throughout their communal areas and the nearby area for residents’ relatives and friends to find. They are also holding vintage tea parties and cake sales to help raise money for the Foundation.

You can now follow Barchy Bear on Twitter to see what he is getting up to during his favourite week of the year, Foundation Week. Go to www.twitter.com and find @BarchyBear
