Activities at Wilton Place Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Wilton Place Care Home

Thank you for the music!
What would life be, without a song or a dance what are we?
A wonderful afternoon of familiar favourites to toe tap and clap along too. Some residents are brave enough to take the mic!

Easter Celebrations
It was our pleasure to welcome our local community to celebrate with residents and their families. There were plenty of smiles all round with goody bags galore and raffle prizes too. With delicious home made cakes and the sun shining, we had all the ingredients for a great start to the Easter weekend. Happy Easter from our home to yours! The £174 raised at the event will be donated to the Barchester Charitable Foundation.

Working at the car wash yeah!
A huge thank you to all that came to support. A lot of fun was had amongst the fun and bubbles for such a great cause. Local community, family and friends came along and we also has a surprise visit from one of our sister homes, Rothsay Grange. As the residents and teams from both homes mingled in the sunshine, the Wilton Place Dream Team gave the Rothsay minibus the star treatment!

St George's Day
In honour of the patron saint of England the home was decorated traditionally in red and white with the added nostalgia of a street party set up. The residents gathered in the bistro to enjoy a typical English tea party. The Woodford Ukulele Group entertained residents with their usual talent and energy with upbeat, well known favourites everyone could sing along to. The group members truly entered into the spirit of the occasion as they arrived dressed in red and white with one chap in full St George regalia. It was a brilliant performance enjoyed by all.

Bake it Yellow
A wonderful afternoon raising funds for Marie Curie. We took part in their 'Bake it Yellow' event in support of the 'Great Daffodil Appeal'.
Brightly decorated in Yellow the Home looked inviting and uplifting. With Neil on guitar, singing all our old favourites the afternoon went with a swing as we welcomed local community, friends and families.
Head Chef Hayley had done us proud with a selection of yellow themed goodies to enjoy together.
Cake and dancing, two of our residents favourite things!

Twitching Time
Did you know our home has a minibus to take residents on trips? Trips such as visits to Salisbury Cathedral, Compton Abbas Airfield, Wilton Garden Centre, The New Forest, The Fox and Goose at Coombe Bissett, River Bourne Community Farm and many more. This weekend we took a jaunt out to Langford Lakes. Ian, a keen Ornithologist recorded the species he spotted in his notebook. The lovely staff at the nature reserve kindly lent us their binoculars. Residents commented on how wonderfully relaxing it was listening to the wildlife and being close to water. Can you spot the Great Blue Heron? It's an absolute pleasure to enable our residents to continue with their hobbies and explore new ones too!
