Activities will be an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators will bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which will be reflected in the activities they organise.

Celebrating life at Weystone Manor Care Home

Charity Taster Lunch

We invited local charities to our home for a delicious menu taster, to thank them for all the support and hard work they put in to our local community.

It was fantastic to see Lisa from the Bee-lieve Foundation, Emma from Crossroads Care Surrey and Sandra from Silver Friends. Thank you all so much for coming and for everything you do for the community in Woking. Thank you also to Paula from West Hall Care Home, it was lovely to have you with us.

Our wonderful Chef's put together an amazing tasting menu, which included Gazpacho, Smoked Salmon bites and Lemon Posset to name a few of the delicious dishes!

We cant wait to be doing more events like this and we are incredibly excited to be cooking for our first residents soon.

Women's Wellness and the Menopause

We were delighted to invite the Women of Woking to our event here at Weystone Manor on Tuesday, it was a lovely evening.

We were joined by local wellness businesses, including Lisa Serenita.skinspecialist who delighted guests with head/shoulder massages and some reflexology, in our salon.

We were also joined by Skin By Laura Fay who gave us samples of her high-performance dermatological skincare range and talked to us about how best to support your skin during the menopause.

Our keynote speaker, Louisa Godfrey Francks, from Aurelia Coaching educated us in a fun and informative way about the menopause, symptoms, nutrition and how to approach your GP.

We can't wait to welcome residents, friends and families to the home each day and watch our community build.

Woking History Society

We had such an interesting visit with Dick and Anthony from the Woking History Society here at Weystone Manor this week.

The gentleman are supporting us to name our communities within the home so they are meaningful and representing the local community.

These names will then be shortlisted and chosen by the local community of Woking! Keep your eyes peeled for further updates on this!

Our Marketing Suite is Officially Open!

We are delighted to announce that our Marketing Suite here at Weystone Manor Care Home is officially Open.
Our General Manager Abdul, alongside members of the Barchester team raised a glass and cut the Red ribbon to declare us open to visitors, we cant wait to welcome you to our home.

Healthy Heart Event

We recently hosted a healthy heart event with the fabulous Team Medic.

We welcomed members of the local community in to our home to learn about finding and using a defibrillator, they also gave a CPR demo.

The event was designed to up-skill those who wanted it, to be able to support someone if a cardiac situation arose. People also enjoyed some delicious healthy refreshments and gained more information and support from Diane at Heartbeat Support, Woking.

We had an amazing first Businesses that Brunch meeting here at Weystone Manor Yesterday.

Weystone Manor is the very first home within Barchester Healthcare to have underfloor heating!

This comes with some fantastic benefits for our residents, a few of these are:

- More bedroom space for our residents so they can bring more of their own furniture should they wish.

- Improved air quality, which is particularly beneficial for those who suffer with allergies.

- Even heat distribution and zone controlled, keeping our residents lovely and warm in the colder months (should they choose to be).

- Energy efficient, which of course is important to all of us!

A visit tot he florist

Our Home Services Advisor, Ginny Thomas, was out and about in St Johns last week and she visited Sue at the local florist Ring A Roses

The shop looked beautiful with its stunning displays. What a wonderful shop, creating floral magic for every occasion! It has given us plenty of inspiration as we look ahead to our forthcoming events at Weystone Manor ahead of our Grand Opening on Wednesday 1st April!

Employee of the Month!

We are delighted to announce that our Home Services Advisor, Ginny, has been presented with the very first Employee of the Month Award here at Weystone Manor.
Ginny was given this award for her dedication and hard work whilst opening our brand new, luxury care home. Ginny has gone above and beyond to connect with our potential residents and our local community.

Cheese and Wine Evening for our Neighbours

We had such a wonderful evening at our cheese and wine event here at Weystone Manor. We invited our neighbours to the home to thank them for their patience during our build process. It was lovely to meet everyone and show them around Weystone Manor, we cant wait to have them visit again.

Home Fit Out!

We are at the very exciting stage of 'Fit Out' here at Weystone Manor where we get to see the home truly come together.

This step of the process would not be possible without the fabulous teams that come to support.

Holly Rance, Head of Interior Design at Barchester brings a whole host of people to help her vision come alive in the home. We also have our IT specialists, Hospitality teams and many more incredible people pulling the home together!

We cant wait to show you all the finished product!
