"Wonderful experience, helpful, polite, kind, professional staff."

"I am extremely happy at the home. The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough to help me. The facilities and activities are great. I especially like the music and singers that come in. I also like using the magic table. I enjoy all my meals. There is always so much variety."

I would like to express my appreciation following my recent visit to the care home. From the moment I arrived, every member of staff I encountered was professional, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The standard of care observed throughout my visit was exceptional, and it was clear that the residents are treated with dignity, respect, and kindness at all times.

The atmosphere within the home was warm and reassuring, and the staff demonstrated a high level of competence and compassion in their interactions. I was particularly impressed by how well-organised everything was and how confidently the team carried out their responsibilities.

Overall, my experience was extremely positive. Please extend my thanks to all staff members for their outstanding work and dedication. It is evident that the care home maintains a consistently high standard, and this is greatly appreciated.

"From the moment she arrived, the staff have shown genuine kindness, patience, and compassion. They take the time to get to know each resident personally, and it really shows in the way they care for her day-to-day needs. The home is always clean, welcoming, and calm, with a lovely atmosphere that makes it feel more like a community than a facility. My nan is always encouraged to join in with the activities, which she absolutely loves, and it's been amazing to see her so happy, engaged, and well looked after. Communication with the family is great too - we're always kept informed, and the team are easy to talk to and incredibly supportive. I'm truly grateful for the outstanding care they provide. Knowing my nan is safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for."

"My husband and I came for a week's respite care - I am his carer and needed support while I underwent cataract treatment. Our experience was outstanding. I have not felt so relaxed since my husband's stroke two years ago. Others too all the burden & worry from my shoulders. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were caring and supportive. We would come again just for a break - our little holiday! Thanks to all."

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sycamore Grove Care Home, and I was truly impressed from the moment I walked through the doors. The home is absolutely beautiful — bright, modern, and thoughtfully designed to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

What stood out most to me was the incredible team of staff. Every member of the team was kind, compassionate, and genuinely dedicated to providing the very best care for the residents. It’s clear that they take great pride in their work and treat residents with the utmost respect and dignity.

The facilities are outstanding, the activities are engaging and full of joy, and the food is exceptional — fresh, well-presented, and clearly made with care. You can really feel the sense of community and happiness throughout the home.

Sycamore Grove is a truly special place where residents are not just cared for, but truly cared about. Thank you to the entire team for all that you do — you are amazing!

"Sycamore Grove Care Home offers outstanding care, their staff members are all so caring and professional, attentive to the needs of their residents and so helpful and accommodating, always available to answer any questions we have. Recently we experienced a bereavement and every member of the team went out of their way and went over and above to support us all which we were so grateful for. We have been given such reassurance in knowing that his wife who remains a resident is in the best of care. A warm and inviting care home with much joy and a flurry of activities going on! "Mum has recently moved into Sycamore Grove Care Home following a couple of stays in respite care. Mum has stayed at Sycamore Grove before and her experience has been very good. The atmosphere is inclusive, caring and kind with staff available to assist or entertain as needed. There is a programme of activities which is quite varied and plenty of spaces for quiet times if required. From my point of view Sycamore Grove gives me peace of mind that mum is being well cared for and she is safe. Since arriving the staff have made a real effort to improve her health and to ensure she is well looked after. I am very happy that mum is staying at Sycamore Grove long term."

"I have been a patient at Sycamore Grove Home on two ocasions, firstly for 2 weeks and recently for 1 week. On both occasions I've found the culture to be compassonate and caring in the home. There was a daily programe each day for the resident to attend and I found very helpful. Also there was a range for residents to attend eg a hair salon, a room for films, and a well kept garden for or exercise. The food was very good in the dining room and staff waiting on us, they published a menu with 3 courses at lunch and evening meals. The medical staff were very good as I needed the catheter to be put on each night. The manager & the care home was very efficient and welcoming. I would certainly return there if I needed too."

"My elderly mother was very well cared for by the superb and friendly staff during the nearly 4 week period she stayed at Sycamore Grove. Her and our only concern in the heat was the fact that the windows do not properly open and the lack of air con."

"Sycamore Grove, All care staff - many thanks for all your care towards me. All cheerful and helpful. When I request help - it was instant. No faults or complaints. Thank you night staff for cups of tea offered, and the quiet, peaceful nights, which, I believe is critical to good service. All of them work extremely hard here. Thank you again (include receptionists at the desk). Thanks again."

"I bring Hudson (therapy dog) in every week to see the residents. I am and Hudson are always greeted with a smile form staff and residents. I enjoy my visits and residents enjoy meeting Hudson."

"I am a regular visitor to a friend and take her out to regular events as well as occassional special outings and medical appointments. Staff are always very welcoming and I am always invited to join in events + activities. The only problem is if we return after office hours there is a long wait to be let in or for me to be let out after visiting."

"Every time I arrive I am given a cheerful welcome which comes through to all the members of staff I meet. The care and concern given to residents is excellent and the friend I visit has definitely benefitted from this cheerful + sociable environment. The management is efficient and smart, and keen to build a relationship with residents and visitors. There always seems to be something going on to involve and entertain residents, with excellent organised activities and events. The rooms are comfortable and attractive and my friend has definitely improved since he came in and is well nourished too thanks to the cook!"
