Activities at Lotus Manor Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Chef wows staff with delicious cooking!
This week, we had the pleasure of enjoying a special tasting event at Lotus Manor this week, as our talented chef Dambar prepared a delicious menu for our hardworking team.
The menu featured comforting lentil soup, a flavourful chicken curry, and the most irresistible chocolate brownies. Judging by the smiles and the empty plates , it was clear that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
It was a wonderful opportunity to share not only the fantastic food but also the warm and welcoming atmosphere that we’re so excited to bring to Lotus Manor when we open our doors. Moments like this remind us of the memories and community spirit we look forward to creating here.
A big thank you goes to Dambar for his fantastic cooking, and to everyone for their hard work these last few weeks!

Pimms and Nibbles at Lotus Manor!
We had the pleasure of welcoming some of our new neighbours to our home in Send this week for a special Pimms and Nibbles reception.
Our Home Manager Candy enjoyed showing guests around the home, giving them a first look at the beautifully designed spaces that will soon be home to our residents. It was wonderful to share a toast together, enjoy some refreshments, and talk about the exciting times ahead as we prepare to open our doors on the 12th September.
The evening was filled with conversation, laughter and a real sense of community spirit. Events like this are so important in helping our future residents feel part of the village, and we are looking forward to building strong links with those living nearby.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and for the warm welcome we’ve already received here in Send. We can’t wait to see you all again very soon!

Lotus Manor Supports Free Hearing Aid Clinic
This week we had the pleasure of attending the Hear Here! Hearing Aid Clinic at the West Clandon British Legion.
The wonderful volunteers and audiologists from Royal Surrey Hospital provided free support for NHS hearing aid users, while the British Legion hosted a warm and welcoming coffee morning full of friendly conversation and delicious treats.
It was inspiring to see the incredible community spirit and the valuable service Hear Here! provides.
At Lotus Manor, we are passionate about building connections like this to benefit our future residents and ensure they feel supported, included, and part of a caring community.
A big thank you to the Hear Here! team and the British Legion for all that you do – we look forward to working together in the future!

Cooling Down our Local Heroes
Last week, our team had the pleasure of visiting our incredible local emergency services to say a heartfelt Thankyou for everything they do.
With the summer heat in full swing, we wanted to make sure they stayed cool and refreshed, so we arrived with cold drinks, ice creams, and plenty of smiles to share. It was a small gesture, but one filled with gratitude for the tireless care, protection, and support they provide to our community every single day.
Taking the time to give back, even in simple ways, reminds us of the importance of kindness and teamwork, values we will be bringing into our home for our residents and their families.
We’re so proud to be part of this wonderful community, and we look forward to many more opportunities to support, celebrate, and thank the people who keep us safe.

Ripley and Send Matters, Visits Lotus Manor!

A visit from the Local GP Surgery!

A Step Back in Time with the Send & Ripley History Society
We were delighted to welcome Jez from the Send and Ripley History Society today.
Jez shared some fascinating insights into the history of the land our brand-new home is built on, as well as stories from the local Ripley and Send areas. It was a brilliant opportunity for our team to learn more about the roots of our community and the rich heritage that surrounds us.
As we prepare to welcome our first residents from the 12th September, we’re so excited to continue building this connection with the History Society. We can’t wait for Jez to return and reminisce with our residents, sharing stories and memories that will make everyone feel even more at home.
Thank you, Jez, for helping us take our first step into the wonderful history of Ripley and Send, we’re looking forward to many more visits to come!
