Amanda Oxley
Hi, I'm Amanda, the Senior General Manager here at Newington Court, and I would like to welcome you to our home.
I have worked in the healthcare sector since 1998. I qualified at Luton University and worked at the NHS, specialising in surgical, rehab and end of life care. I have a degree in Critical Care Nursing and I am an experienced orthopaedic nurse. I have also spent time working in the private sector at a charitable hospital for the clergy in London and nursed for five years in Guernsey. I was promoted to General Manager at Newington Court in July 2016.
Unit Leader
My name is Claire and I am the Unit Leader here at Falcon Place. I have worked in the healthcare sector since 2004, and have achieved an NVQ2/3. I manage the 8 bedroom unit with the support of my manager and a dedicated team. We are a small friendly unit, family-orientated, and we all work with great enthusiasm and passion. I am working towards my next level to become a senior healthcare practitioner this year.

Lyn regularly organises trips where she takes residents out in the minibus, as well as smaller activities within Newington Court, Falcon Place and the wider community. She is always happy and it's great to see how the residents respond to Lyn's energy. She is always coming up with new ideas for the residents to enhance their stay with us at Newington.
