Friends take to the skies in aid of MS charity

A young woman from Leicestershire who was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis has said she'll do all she can to raise awareness of the condition and money for MS charities.

Kayte Giblin, 29, along with her friend Carlie Smith, has already signed up to do a sponsored skydive in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Trust.

The pair hope to raise more than £1,000, but admit to being nervous about falling through the air.

"I'm quite scared," Ms Giblin told the Leicester Mercury. "At first I was all, 'Yeah! Let's do it!' and now I'm getting pretty worried.

"I've never done anything like this before and there's not much you can do to prepare for it."

Ms Giblin added that most days the degenerative disease does not affect her, but she knows that it will likely have a huge impact on the way she lives her life when she's older.

The sky jump will take place at an airfield in Nottinghamshire on June 17th.
