Mother moved into this care home 4 years ago at the age of 99 and was very frail, unwell and in a wheelchair. However now she is very well and able to walk just with the aid of a zimmer frame. Mother will tell everyone how happy she is and loves the company. There is a wide choice of food with a menu to suit everyone. The staff are excellent and are so very patient to meet the needs of the residents. I cannot speak too highly of the care my mother receives here. Thank you.

Amazing team and hard workers

I sing at Marnel Lodge for the lovely residents. I have nothing but high praise for this home and the amazing staff, and they are all amazing. They never stop smiling, they dance with the residents, they always make me feel so welcome. The home has a warmth and kindness about it and I'm always hearing about different activities and outings they are doing. It is a lovely lovely place. The staff look after people and keep them safe.

I went to go visit my uncle and i was pleased to see that he’s being very well looked after! I noticed some builders and the home being redecorated, but despite that it’s all very clean. The cakes in the cafe were delicious, my uncle is very happy and i will be visiting again!

I attended a Christmas floral event at Ashchurch View, the staff were excellent, super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The Care Home is incredibly clean, well maintained and they have great facilities. I Thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would highly recommend.

A warm and welcoming care home with a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly, supportive, and genuinely care about the residents. I visit regularly to deliver chair-based exercise sessions and it’s always a pleasure — residents are encouraged to join in and there’s a real sense of community. A wonderful place to visit.

From the loving, warm welcome from Gill the moment you walk through the door, to Sue, who is incredibly helpful and reassuring—especially for those of us who are completely new to this journey and unsure of what we’re doing. Every single member of staff, including the caring care workers and activity team, go above and beyond and do an absolutely tremendous job.

Tony will, for the foreseeable future, always come to Boroughbridge Manor Care Home for his respite stays, with the view to moving in long-term in the near future.

I’ve visited this care home several times as a tradesperson and have always had a really positive experience. The staff are consistently friendly, welcoming, and well organised, which makes my job much easier. It’s clear they genuinely care about the residents — everyone is treated with kindness and respect, and the atmosphere is calm and positive. The home is well run and maintained, and you can tell the residents are in good hands. A great place with a great team.

Wow what a care home I dreaded walking though the doors on my visit as a few years ago well before I had children 24 years ago I was going to work as a care assistant and couldn’t because of the smell to to may amazement the home did not smell the staff are amazing nothing is to much for them to see all the residents so happy I’ve booked my place for my later years well done tixover

The meeting room facilities provided by Chacombe Park Care Home was perfect for our recent Community Meeting as it provided such a comfortable, calm and relaxed environment in which to meet. The management and staff were all very welcoming and we would have no hesitation in using the facilities again for future meetings.

A care home and more. It is just the haven for service users, with a warm and loving atmosphere and meticulous and empathetic carers.

What a warm and friendly place. From the moment you are greeted at the door, you are made to feel really valued by the friendly staff. The whole atmosphere here is upbeat and homely, totally goes against the stereotype of what a care home usually looks like. Both Jenna and Jackie who I met are fabulous representatives for the Barchester brand and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place

Kings Park is a wonderful community space that encourages local businesses such as myself (DorsetFit) to network and hopefully to support one another and its residents. The management team are very engaging, supportive and I can see that the care environment within King Park is to an excellent standard. Look forward to future networking events at King's Park, Barchester Care Home.

During our last visit to Marriott House, we were impressed by the warmth of the staff and the cleanliness of the place. Everyone was patient and supportive, not just with residents but with families too. Seeing our mother-in-law settled and content meant a lot to us.

My mother spent a few weeks at Kings Park for respite following a broken hip. From Jenna’s first conversation with me, to her visit to meet Mum, and all the wonderful care they have given her since then, the staff have all been wonderful. Everyone is so kind a friendly, with small details catered for to make everyone feel at home. The place is spotless, and great care is taken to ensure clothes and rooms are clean and fresh. It all makes such a difference.
Mum was so anxious at the prospect of ‘going into a home’, but her experience at Kings Park has convinced her that it can be a wonderful place to be…so much so that she has now moved to another Barchester home near my sister for her final years
