Glenroyd Celebrate Burns Night
Staff, Friends, Family & Residents all took part. Blackpool's Town Cryer (Barry McQueen) came and piped in the haggis for us and read out the Burns Night Poem. He also sang some traditional Scottish songs and did some dancing for us. Our chef cooked the Haggis and served it with Neeps & Tatties, which was delicious and went down a treat. It was a great afternoon and we all enjoyed the fun.
GLENROYD CARE HOME CELEBRATES IT'S 21ST BIRTHDAY IN STYLE!
Residents, relatives friends and staff at The Glenroyd Care home, Blackpool recently welcomed The Right Honourable Mayor of Blackpool Councillor Joan Greenhalgh and Blackpool's Town Crier Barry McQueen to the home's 21st Birthday Celebrations. The event was officially opened in grand style by Blackpool's Town Crier Barry McQueen and was followed by a lovely speech by The Mayor of Blackpool Councillor Joan Greenhalgh who paid tribute to the exceptional care which the home has provided over the last 21 years.
