Activities at Iverley View Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Breakfast with a Smile at Iverley View
Every Wednesday morning, our dining room is transformed into a relaxed and cheerful space for the Iverley Breakfast Club. It’s more than just a meal, it’s a weekly tradition bringing residents together for good food, great conversation, and a warm sense of connection.
This week’s breakfast special was a real treat: fluffy pancakes topped with fresh strawberries, whipped vanilla cream, and a drizzle of maple syrup. As always, our residents enjoyed chatting with friends, the yummy food, and starting the day the best way possible, together.
Whether sweet or savoury, our breakfast club is a moment to pause, connect, and nourish both body and soul. It’s a little midweek magic that we all look forward to.
Stars, Stripes and Shenanigans at Iverley View
We brought the party to the patio for our latest community celebration: Stars, Stripes and Shenanigans! Residents, families, staff and local friends came together for an afternoon full of laughter, sunshine and American-themed fun.
With patriotic decorations, homemade treats, and plenty of smiles, the event celebrated connection, creativity and culture. Residents enjoyed delicious cake pops, great company, and live entertainment, with the garden transformed into a red, white and blue delight.
The event was part of our continued effort to build joyful shared experiences and create opportunities for our residents to engage with the local community. It was a warm, wonderful day full of memories, conversation, and of course… a few cheeky shenanigans too.
Talkin’ Tables Launches at Iverley View
We’re proud to have launched Talkin’ Tables here at Iverley View a heart warming initiative designed to bring people together through the power of conversation.
Our first session took place on Monday morning, and it was filled with smiles, connection, and plenty of coffee and croissants. Residents were joined by members of the local community for meaningful chats, shared stories, and a few new friendships in the making.
The sessions will now take place on the first Monday of every month at 10:30am, offering a safe, welcoming space where everyone is invited to pull up a chair and join the conversation.
It’s a simple idea with a big impact because at Iverley View, no one should ever feel left out.
Cocktails, Cobs & a Touch of Class at Iverley View
We brought the sparkle of Ascot to Stourbridge last week with our fabulous Cocktails & Cobs: Ladies Day Edition!
Residents, families and staff came dressed to impress; fascinators, florals and full-on glamour were the order of the day. With fruity mocktails in hand and tasty cobs on the menu, we turned our garden into a stylish social spot worthy of the Royal Enclosure.
There were cheers, chatter and chuckles as we celebrated the spirit of Ladies Day in true Iverley style: fun, fabulous, and full of heart. From racing chat to fashion parades, everyone had a blast soaking up the summer vibes (and the strawberry fizz!).
Events like this remind us just how joyful life at Iverley can be, full of flavour, friendship, and a whole lot of flair.
CARECHELLA at Iverley View
On Saturday 21st June, we turned our garden into a mini festival site for Carechella 2025 ;our themed open day full of music, food, and fun!
Residents, families, staff, and local visitors joined us for a day of dancing, glitter, mocktails and live music from the incredible D’Artagnan, Maggie O'Hara , Kim on the Sax and Duo Joachim and Cecilia. Even the rain couldn’t dampen our spirits!
Our kitchen team, Matt and Shinu, served up festival-style Canapes with a twist, homemade chips and some fabulous cake, it’s safe to say no one left hungry.
A visitor told us, “I’ve never been to a festival before, this was the best day!”
Carechella wasn’t just a celebration; it was a chance to bring our community together, create joyful memories, and show that life at Iverley is always full of love, laughter, and a little bit of sparkle.
A Pint in the Sunshine: Our Gentlemen Trip To The Vine
At Iverley View, we believe every day is an opportunity to create joyful moments and what better way to enjoy the sunshine than with a cheeky trip to the pub?
This week, a couple of our fabulous gents took a trip to The Vine, one of our favourite local spots, for a well-earned drink and a catch-up in the fresh air. With cold pints in hand, stylish summer shirts on full display, and smiles all round, the group made the most of a glorious day.
The beer garden was the perfect setting for some great conversation and a good laugh, everything we love about our community outings.
Whether it’s a quiet pub lunch, a scenic drive, or a bustling event back at home, we’re proud to offer activities that bring comfort, connection, and a little sparkle to every week
We’ll raise a glass to that!
Rock the Boat at Iverley View
We made waves at Iverley View with our Rock the Boat celebration, a beach-inspired party packed with fun, flavour, and friendship. Timed perfectly with National fish and chips Day!
Residents, families, staff, and local guests joined together for a seaside-themed afternoon, complete with fish and chips, colourful sunglasses, and even a four-legged visitor. The incredible Sue Holmes provided live music that had everyone tapping their toes and singing along.
The day was a joyful reflection of our Care & Life Enrichment Framework (CLEF) in action: bringing together community connection, creative engagement, fabulous food, and multi-generational moments.
Events like these are a perfect example of how we celebrate life at Iverley View, creating shared experiences that bring smiles, memories, and meaningful connection.
One Month of Iverley View: Caring for you !
This week, we proudly celebrated one month since Iverley View officially opened its doors. In just a few short weeks, our home has blossomed into a vibrant and welcoming community filled with music, movement, connection, and care.
From scenic park strolls and pamper sessions in our on-site salon to chair-based dance classes, live music, and even a fabulous Dementia Disco, every event has been carefully designed to support wellbeing, joy, and dignity.
Residents, staff, families, and local partners have all played a part in shaping the warm, uplifting environment we’ve created together.

Very First Dementia Disco At Iverley View
Iverley View was alive with music, movement, and magic as we hosted our very first Dementia Disco to mark our one-month anniversary! Residents, families, friends, and members of the local community all joined us for an afternoon of feel-good fun and fabulous throwback vibes.
Guests were treated to a live DJ spinning classic hits, a delicious buffet spread, and an extra-special celebration cake. Some got into the spirit with 1950s-style dress-up, while others simply came as they were — ready to dance, connect, and enjoy the moment.
It was a joyful afternoon filled with laughter, music, and memory-making. We’re proud to create inclusive events that bring people together and celebrate life at Iverley View in style.
