Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hi, I’m Molly,

I’m the Activities Co-ordinator here at Iverley View, bringing energy and creativity.

I've worked in the care industry for over 4 years, I'm so happy be part of the Barchester family.

My goal is make sure every day is engaging, fun and meaningful for our residents; whether that’s through activities, social events or simply sharing a good chit chat.

Outside of work, I'm passionate about travelling and exploring new places. I love spending time with my beautiful Labrador/pug (Pugador) 'Bella' she loves coming on new adventures with me!

I look forward to meeting you at Iverley View :)

Celebrating life at Iverley View Care Home

Visit to Hagley Golfing Range

A lovely morning with residents at Hagley Golfing Range, Alan loved this trip, he shared stories of playing for Halesowen at just 13 years old and later representing the county!

Joined by our second chef Seb, the pair enjoyed practicing their swings, sharing memories, and a little friendly competition in the sunshine. What a great day out.

Our residents made the most of the sunshine, enjoying some fresh air, tea and cake, and great company. Moments like these bring so many smiles.

Knit & Natter Group

Our Knit & Natter family is growing!
We are so happy to see more friendly faces joining us each time, we love this!
It's quickly becoming one of the cosiest and friendliest afternoons of the week, and we love seeing the friendships forming along the way. Our residents love getting chatty.

Trip to the garden centre

What a lovely day out at the garden centre

Residents enjoyed a relaxed trip taking time to look through gardening books, soak up the atmosphere, and chat about favourite flowers and gardens from years gone by.

A visit to the café was a must, where everyone tucked into a delicious cuppa (some topped with extra cream and a few giggles!), before heading home full of smiles. Fresh air, great company, and simple pleasures made this a truly enjoyable outing.

Burns Night Celebrations

Residents enjoyed a traditional haggis lunch, tables decorated with Saltire flags and plenty of toe-tapping live music throughout the afternoon. There was lots of singing, clapping and smiling, making it a relaxed and joyful daytime celebration for everyone!

Visit to RAF Cosford Museum

What a brilliant day celebrating VE Day at the RAF Cosford Museum alongside residents and staff from two other Barchester homes Elgar Court & Hollyfields!

Residents enjoyed looking around the historic aircraft’s, exploring the museum, and reminiscing as they shared stories and memories together. It was a great opportunity to socialise, make new friendships, and honour the incredible bravery of those who served during wartime.

A truly meaningful day full of reminiscence, laughter and community spirit, what a truly wonderful day!

Resident Diamond Wedding Anniversary Celebrations

Wow, celebrating an incredible Diamond Wedding Anniversary!
We celebrated one of our amazing resident 60th Wedding Anniversary.

'Yappy Hour' - Doggie Community Café

A big massive THANK YOU to all the cutest pups (and their lovely owners & friends!) who came along to the launch of ‘Yappy Hour’ at our doggy community café. We were absolutely blown away by the amazing turnout! Our residents absolutely loved it.

Our furry guests enjoyed puppuccinos, toys, and plenty of treats, it was just so lovely to see new doggy friendships being made, you’ve made our day here at Iverley View.

Thanks for everyone’s support it does mean the absolute world to us!

Tony's 80th Birthday Celebrations

Today we are celebrating a very special milestone for a very special man. Tony, you are such a treasured part of life here at Iverley View Care Home, and we feel incredibly lucky to celebrate your 80th birthday with you.

You are truly loved by everyone here. We also want to send so much love to Tony’s wonderful family. Your support, kindness, it means the absolute world to us to celebrate this special day together. Ann, (Tony’s wife) thank you so much for everything you do, we love you so much, you are an incredible lady!

Resident Friendship at Iverley View

Many residents find joy in forming new bonds, supporting one another, and sharing memories from their lives. These relationships help reduce feelings of loneliness, boost confidence, and create a warm, supportive community where everyone feels valued.

Trip to Mary Stevens Park

We had a lovely stroll down to Mary Steven’s Park.

The residents enjoyed feeding the ducks, a wholesome picnic, visited the Frank Foley memorial and plenty of sweet treats to finish the day off. Days out like this makes it all worth while, the residents absolutely loved this visit, we will certainly be back soon.

Table Tennis Challenge

A little friendly competition never hurt anyone!

Today, one of our lovely residents took on our activities coordinator Molly in a fun game of table tennis – and it was smiles all round! From quick rallies to plenty of laughs, it was a fantastic way to stay active and bring everyone together.

Sallie's 90th Birthday Celebrations at Iverley View

90 years young and what a beautiful celebration for our wonderful Sallie!

Sallie celebrated her incredible 90th birthday surrounded by her loving family, friends and our amazing team, all coming together to make her day truly special. The room was filled with laughter, stories, smiles and so much love.

A huge thank you to our talented Chef Matt for baking a delicious birthday cake especially for Sallie, it certainly didn’t last long!

It was a joy to see everyone together to honour such a special milestone. Happy 90th birthday Sallie, you are simply fabulous!

National Pizza Day

National Pizza Day!
Our residents got hands-on creating their very own pizzas, spreading the sauce, choosing toppings, and adding plenty of cheese along the way.
A lovely activity encouraging choice, independence, and a bit of foodie fun — and of course, the best part was enjoying the finished pizzas together.

Pamper Day at Iverley View

Our pamper day was a lovely opportunity for residents to relax and enjoy having their nails painted, with plenty of smiles, chats and feel-good moments shared throughout the day, promoting relaxation, confidence and wellbeing! We love helping everyone feel special and well cared for.
