Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hi, I’m Molly,

I’m the Activities Co-ordinator here at Iverley View, bringing energy and creativity.

I've worked in the care industry for over 4 years, I'm so happy be part of the Barchester family.

My goal is make sure every day is engaging, fun and meaningful for our residents; whether that’s through activities, social events or simply sharing a good chit chat.

Outside of work, I'm passionate about travelling and exploring new places. I love spending time with my beautiful Labrador/pug (Pugador) 'Bella' she loves coming on new adventures with me!

I look forward to meeting you at Iverley View :)

Our residents absolutely love to get involved in the garden, whether its growing sunflowers, watering tomato plants or sweeping up, in the greenhouse, they love to be outdoors!

Celebrating Sheila's 91st Birthday in Style

Happy 91st Birthday Sheila

Celebrating on the top floor at Iverley View in style. Residents, staff, family and friends joined in the fun, with great entertainment and lots of dancing. There was plenty of singing, and a delicious birthday cake home baked by our wonderful head chef Matt. A wonderful day celebrated by all.

Trip to B&Q

A great morning out at B&Q picking flamingo trees and solar lights for our garden.

Residents enjoyed having a browse, picking out their favourite ornaments and sharing ideas on how to make our garden space even more colourful.

We can’t wait to see everything in place, well done to all our residents, lets make Iverley the best garden area to enjoy.

Visit to Hagley Golfing Range

A lovely morning with residents at Hagley Golfing Range, Alan loved this trip, he shared stories of playing for Halesowen at just 13 years old and later representing the county!

Joined by our second chef Seb, the pair enjoyed practicing their swings, sharing memories, and a little friendly competition in the sunshine. What a great day out.

Visit to Cherry Tree Lane Garden Centre

What a lovely trip to Cherry Lane Garden Centre. The residents enjoyed getting on the Iverley View mini bus for another fun day out.

Residents enjoyed seeing all the different types of fish, picked up some gorgeous wool for our Knit and Natter group, followed by tea and cake in the café. One resident was delighted to bump into an old friend, making the day even more special.

Gentleman's afternoon Drink at The Old Waggon & Horses

The gentlemen enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the pub, catching up over drinks, crisps, and a great natter. A brilliant outing filled with smiles, friendships and great company. It’s always lovely to see friendships blooming and memories being made together.

Visit to RAF Cosford Museum

What a brilliant day celebrating VE Day at the RAF Cosford Museum alongside residents and staff from two other Barchester homes Elgar Court & Hollyfields!

Residents enjoyed looking around the historic aircraft’s, exploring the museum, and reminiscing as they shared stories and memories together. It was a great opportunity to socialise, make new friendships, and honour the incredible bravery of those who served during wartime.

A truly meaningful day full of reminiscence, laughter and community spirit, what a truly wonderful day!

Sweet Wheels of Iverley!

Introducing… Sweet Wheels of Iverley!
The wait is over… we’re delighted to introduce Sweet Wheels of Iverley!
Packed with traditional favourites, chocolate treats, crisps, popcorn and refreshing drinks, our new sweet cart is bringing smiles, great memories and adding a little extra joy as it makes its way around our home.
It was wonderful to see our residents choosing their favourite treats, reminiscing about the sweet shops they visited as children, and sharing plenty of laughter along the way.
Here’s to many more sweet moments with Sweet Wheels of Iverley!

Celebrating the 4th of July

Residents had the best time celebrating the 4th of July with staff and family members, our residents absolutely loved joining in the fun, it’s always great to see so many smiling faces.

Visit to Clent Connect café

A lovely trip out on the minibus to Clent Connect café.

Residents enjoyed catching up with old friends from the local community. It was lovely to share conversations, laughter and refreshments together, creating meaningful connections and beautiful memories together. We also got to enjoy lots of tasty cakes, yummy!.

Trip to Mary Stevens Park

We had a lovely stroll down to Mary Steven’s Park.

The residents enjoyed feeding the ducks, a wholesome picnic, visited the Frank Foley memorial and plenty of sweet treats to finish the day off. Days out like this makes it all worth while, the residents absolutely loved this visit, we will certainly be back soon.

Table Tennis Challenge

A little friendly competition never hurt anyone!

Today, one of our lovely residents took on our activities coordinator Molly in a fun game of table tennis – and it was smiles all round! From quick rallies to plenty of laughs, it was a fantastic way to stay active and bring everyone together.
