Mount House Celebrates 25 Years in Business
We have recently celebrated 25 years of business! We had a Garden Party including a hog roast and a string quartet to entertain. The day started a bit dull with rain showers all morning but the sun shone for our 3 o'clock start. The Mayor of Shrewsbury attended. The Mount House Rock Choir performed and everyone enjoyed the celebrations. Two staff members received their long service award and others received a pen for their NVQ completion.
Carole Watkins - Care Home Manager
Carole has been General Manager at The Mount House since 1997. She is a qualified nurse with over 31 years experience in the NHS and private healthcare sector. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the home and providing support all round.
Karena Orton-Brown - Deputy Home Manager
Karena has been employed at Mount House as an RGN since July 2006 and was promoted to Deputy in 2011. She has the lead role on clinical issues and supports the General Manager in all aspects of running the home. She leads a team of loyal and dedicated nurses and carers.
Betty Robinson - Home Administrator
Betty is responsible for administration and all financial aspects related to the running of the home. The admin team is always on hand with a friendly welcome and offers of assistance
Zena Cooper - Activities Co-ordinator
Zena is in charge of all the activities in the home, from in-house entertainment to theme days, to craft sessions and quizzes.
Martyn Galley - Head Chef
Martyn heads a catering team who ensure a wonderful choice of delicious and wholesome dishes are on offer to all our residents.
Doreen Stafford - Housekeeper
Doreen and her team work hard to ensure that The Mount House maintains its high standards in laundry and cleaning.
Mac Rathbone - Maintenance
Mac is responsible for maintaining the grounds and buildings, and maintaining a safe environment in which to live and work.
Peter Pritchard - Maintenance
Peter is responsible for maintaining the grounds and buildings, and maintaining a safe environment in which to live and work.
Michelle Stewart - Receptionist
Michelle welcomes all visitors to Mount House with a warm friendly smile. She is the first point of contact for callers.
Cara Williams - Activities Co-ordinator
Cara is in charge of all the activities in the home, from in-house entertainment to theme days, to craft sessions and quizzes.
Marilyn Howard - Home Trainer
marilyn is the Home Trainer and is responsible for all aspects of in house training.
