Activities at Mount Tryon Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Green Fingers at Mount Tryon

This year at Mount Tryon we decided to make use of our wonderful garden by growing some vegetables and salad items.

We have sprouts, fingers crossed they will be ready for Christmas, spring onions, radish’s and carrots along with some delightful flowers, chosen by our residents.

It’s lovely to go out a see how the garden is maturing and our residents’ are looking forward to tending to their new gardening patch’s, plants and raised beds in the coming weeks and months.

Hawaiian Day at Mount Tryon

We had a lovely time recently for our Hawaiian day at Mount Tryon. Residents have made all of our own decorations, including props, which was very rewarding, particularly to see them all up on the walls and on the tables.

In the morning to keep to the theme we made homemade Hawaiian Pizza, with ham, cheese and pineapple which was served as an option on our evening menu.

Then in the afternoon we could see all hard work put to use, we enjoyed a Fruit platter and were entertained by Patrick Jervis - Entertainer.

Patrick sang lots of songs to suit our Hawaiian theme and he was fabulous.

We are delighted to have resumed our min bus trips and outing this summer. Residents have and will continue to be supported to visit places of interest. A highlight recently was a trip to our local restaurant The Babbacombe Inn,

The food was lovely we were Lucky with weather.

Scrapbooking at Mount Tryon

Recently at Mount Tryon we have been working on our scrap-books.

This was lovely way to look back at fond memories of the activities we had enjoyed, friendships we had made and the laughter that it had created. We will keep updating our scrapbook in the coming months.
