Activities at Mount Tryon Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Mount Tryon Care Home

International Flower Day!

On international flower day, we enjoyed some flower arranging and got to soak up the beautiful smells of the flowers in the home.

Entertainment

We enjoyed some fantastic entertainment last week when one of our residents family members came to do this wonderful show.

Christmas Day 2022

Christmas day was magical at Mount Tryon. The residents enjoyed seeing their loved ones and of course filled themselves up with great food and mulled wine!

Christmas light switch on

Cllr Hazel Foster was kind enough to come and switch on our Christmas lights with us. There was a festive afternoon tea also to celebrate the occasion.

Decorating the home

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed helping us decorate this year. It is so nice to see the Christmas spirit in the home.

Vicky Walker becomes a published author!

Staff and residents at Mount Tryon care home in Torquay are celebrating today because one of their much-loved carers, Vicky Walker, has become a published author in her own right for the very first time!

From a very young age, Vicky has always had a passion for reading and writing poetry, it has long been a dream of hers to be able to express her thoughts and feelings through poetry so she is delighted to finally have a book of her own poetry published.  The book is called ‘Life on a Page’. Staff and residents couldn’t be happier for her and they presented her with flowers and fizz to celebrate.
