Activities at Cheshire Grange Care Home

The activities team are constantly striving to meet the varied needs of everyone who lives in our home, offering a wide range of group and individual social events. There are regular visits from entertainers, along with craft activities, baking, games & puzzle days and pampering sessions, which fill the week. However, we can always find time for outings and just spending that little bit of special time with residents who enjoy the peace and quiet. We aim to bring the activities to the individual, whilst making it a whole home experience.

Popular Duo Entertains Residents

Brookfield regulars Janet & David made their monthly visit to entertain residents with songs all starting with the letters that spelt out 'Brookfield'

Residents were treated music hall classics, Roll Out The Barrel & Knees Up Mother Brown, along with musical show favourites, Oh What A Beautiful Morning and Edelweiss all finished off with a bird quiz which gave us two of Vera Lynn’s best known songs.

There was singing and dancing and some very interesting stories, a good time was had by all.

Housekeeping Week

This week we have been celebrating our housekeeping team for the valuable role that they play within our home, by presenting them with a thank you card and a little goody bag, and making purple hearts with messages of thanks from the residents to adorn our sentiments tree.

The team work tirelessly to ensure that our home is kept clean and that residents clothes are taken care of, this is amongst many other things that they do within our home.

The housekeeping team always make time to have a chat with the residents as they go about their duties, and this is always welcomed by our residents.

A sweet reminder of childhood

The anonymous quote couldn’t have summed up our afternoon  Ice Cream Trolley visit any better, comments from residents on all communities were all about memories either from their own childhood or their children’s. The familiar ice cream van sounds of Greensleeves followed us round the corridors, there were little tubs or cones with a flake, a vanilla 99 was the best seller of the day. When Jean was asked if she’d enjoyed her ice cream she was delighted and told us ‘she’d stood in line for it’
