Activities at Cheverton Lodge Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians, as well as art therapy, flower arranging, Exercise to music and quizzes. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Concert at Cheverton Lodge.

Cheverton lodge was lucky enough to welcome The Chumlies!

The Chumlies are a local group of musicians, who entertained us all with a wonderful Christmas concert. The home was filled with Christmas cheer and some of our favorite Christmas tunes.

On Flutes were Dilys Hoffman, Mary Maddison and on Clarinets were Anne Greenwood, Karin Maria’s, Gronia Morley.

Thank you so much Chumlies for a wonderful afternoon.

Cards of kindness

What a lovely surprise for the residents and team at Cheverton Lodge. Children and their teacher Mathew from Whitehall Park School hand delivered some beautiful hand made cards which had been crafted and written by the year 5 students.

Residents were delighted to receive them and had a lovely chat with the children.

Thank you so very much, we loved them and hope you come and see us again soon.

Remembrance Sunday at Cheverton Lodge

On Sunday 12th November, the National Service of Remembrance was held at the Cenotaph on Whitehall. The service commemorates the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women involved in the two world wars and later conflicts.

Residents at Cheverton Lodge watched the service together with loved ones. We talked about what Remembrance Sunday meant to us and decorated the home in poppies as a sign of respect. Our chef Kamila made lovely poppy cup cakes for us to enjoy.
