Activities at Cheverton Lodge Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians, as well as art therapy, flower arranging, Exercise to music and quizzes. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

On Saturday 10th of December, residents of Cheverton Lodge and their relatives and friends enjoyed their annual Christmas party. Students from North Bridge House School in Hampstead visited residents to deliver handmade cards in the morning, followed by the fabulous singer and entertainer Pete Morton, who performed a range of Christmas hits in the afternoon.

This fabulous celebration was rounded off at the end of the day by a fantastic buffet provided by our Head Chef and team. Early nights for all after a fun packed day!

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.

Residents, family, friends and staff at Cheverton Lodge, held our own commemorative event, inviting performer Pete Morton to tell stories from the past on Remembrance/Armistice Day and an interactive sing along of the Songs that Won the War.

Kathleen said, “Remembrance Day is such an important day, I’m glad that Cheverton Lodge has done our bit to show that we are supporting those who helped get our freedom.”

Cheese & Wine Tasting

At Cheverton Lodge, we hold a social event every week where residents can gather together to socialise. Recently, we had a cheese & wine tasting evening. Residents, friends and relatives tasted different types of cheese and washed them down with some delicious wine.

Nancy and Kathy had fun playing Emperor Nero with grapes.
