Activities at Lancaster Grange Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Newark Community Band visiting Lancaster Grange

This evening we were delighted to welcome into our home members of the Newark and Sherwood Concert Band. Family and friends joined residents from all communities for a wonderful evening of Christmas music, from traditional carols to unforgettable Christmas songs. Warm mulled wine and homemade mince pies  brought us a festive atmosphere within our home.

Once again we’d like to warmly thank the band members for entertaining us this evening.

Victoria from the activities team, proudly played her flute to all her residents and it brought a tear to an eye for our residents seeing how proud they were of her. A wonderful evening activity here for our residents.

Raising money for Children in Need

We’ve all enjoyed a whole home approach of fun, laughter and a little naughtiness here at Lancaster Grange, recognising and raising money for BBC Children in Need. Pudsey Bear wasn’t able to come…so he sent his friend ‘Jess the Cat’ to be mischievous around our home.

Our residents here at Lancaster Grange has such fun with baking cakes and dressing up to raise money.

The BBC's annual telethon is to raise money for Children in Need, joined by famous faces and the charities mascot Pudsey the bear.

All donations go to the charity that helps improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people around the UK.
