Activities at Windmill Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Back to the floor Day

In recognition of National Customer Service Week, team members and support staff are taking part in Barchester’s ‘Back to the Floor’ initiative.

‘Back to the Floor' gives the opportunity to support teams and residents by being present and available to help and support with simple day to day tasks and recognise the great work happening every day.

Everyone working in Barchester should be able to spend time with residents, have worked alongside some of our team members to experience a day in the life of a working care home.

Today we were delighted to welcome Sue Stroud from Barchester’s Sales and Marketing Team, who joined residents in their flower arranging class. Sue Stroud chatted with our residents whilst she cut and arranged flowers. Sue said she had had a lovely time and clearly had missed her vocation.
